The Roger Pirates are legendary pirates in the One Piece story because this group is led by the Pirate King who has succeeded in conquering the ocean. Although their prestige is very well known in the ocean, this group has unfortunately been disbanded by Roger.
The Roger Pirates have a main crew that gets enough attention throughout the One Piece story. Well, this time we want to explore more about these pirate members. Come on, let's talk about it!
1. Gol D. Roger
Gol D. Roger was a legendary pirate figure known as the Pirate King. He was the first person to conquer the ocean and reached the last island in the Grand Line, the island of Laugh Tale and found the world's greatest treasure in the world called One Piece.
Not only that, Roger was also known to be very strong and his name was feared by his enemies. Roger's strength as equivalent to Edward Newgate aka Whitebeard who was known as the strongest human in the world. So far, he is the person who has the highest bounty price in the One Piece world, which is 5,564,800,000.
In fighting, Roger used a sword named Ace which is one of Saijo O Wazamono's swords. In addition, he was able to master all three types of haki. Because of that, he was a very strong fighter and only certain people could deal with him, such as Whitebeard, Sengoku, and Garp.
2. Silvers Rayleigh
Rayleigh was Roger's first member and his right-hand man. He is one of the most formidable sword users in the One Piece story. Despite his old age, Rayleigh still showed great ability in fighting.
Rayleigh is very skilled in using swords and all three types of haki. He had a balanced fight against Kizaru on Sabaody. His strength is indeed weakened due to old age. However, Rayleigh's strength must have been far more terrifying when he was in his prime. On top of that, he likely also had a very high bounty.
3. Scooper Gaban
Just like Rayleigh, Scooper Gaban is also one of Roger's confidants. This character is still very mysterious so far. After the Roger Pirates disbanded, no one knew the whereabouts of this character.
In fighting, Scooper Gaban uses two axes. He was seen in Kozuki Oden's flashback story and One Piece Episode 0 during the Edd War against Shiki. Even though he's full of mysteries, Scooper's powers are certainly much more formidable than the rest of Roger's crew and he's also likely to have a fantastic bounty.

4. Kozuki Oden
This samurai from the land of Wano was originally a crew of the Whitebeard pirates. He briefly faced Roger on an island and he was easily defeated by Roger's Kamusari attack.
Roger then asked Oden to join his pirates because Oden had the ability to read Poneglyphs which was needed to reach the last island of Laugh Tale. Without reducing respect for Whitebeard, Oden agreed to Roger's request and they traveled together to Laugh Tale.
5. Crocus
Crocus is a great doctor and overseer of the Twin Cape Lighthouse, which is the starting point for everyone journey when they enters the Grand Line. His medical skills were so well known that Roger was interested in taking him on board.
Crocus was unable to cure Roger's mysterious illness, but he was able to make drugs that could relieve the pain of Roger's mysterious illness. Because of him, Roger was able to survive and complete his adventure until the end. The reason Crocus joined Roger was that he wanted to find the pirates of Rumbar and Brook for Laboon's sake.
6. Seagull
The next member of Roger pirates is Seagull who is likely to be very strong, especially in battles that require muscle and physical strength. Seagull had a burly build and he also looked serious.
Seagull briefly appeared in Kozuki Oden's past story and One Piece Episode 0 while fighting against the Shiki’s alliance in the Edd war. During Oden's flashback, Seagull was shown resisting Jozu's attack who had a body as hard as a diamond. This can be used as a benchmark for Seagull's strength.
7. Shanks
When he was young, Shanks was an apprentice to the Roger Pirates along with Buggy. He greatly admired the figure of Roger who was fearless and never ran away from battle. In addition, he is also the person that Roger trusted to inherit his straw hat.
After Roger's pirates were disbanded and Roger executed in Logue Town, Shanks decided to part with Buggy and form his own pirate group. He then grows stronger until he becomes one of the powerful Yonko in the New World.

8. Buggy
Although his appearance is quite silly and less convincing, Buggy had time to become a crew member of the Oro Jackson as an apprentice. He is a good friend of Shanks. However, he hates Shanks because he became a devil fruit user and couldn't swim because of Shanks.
Just like Shanks, Buggy also formed his own pirate group after Roger's execution. The fact that Buggy is a former member of Roger was revealed during the battle at Marineford. This made him wary of the World Government until he was offered a position to become a Sichibukai.
9. Inuarashi & Nekomamushi
Nekomamushi and Inuarashi are Mink tribe and the rulers of Mokomo Kingdom as well as Oden's bodyguards from the island of Zou. Before joining Roger's group, they had also been on Whitebeard's ship for a while.
They both really like lord Oden. Because of that, they would follow Oden wherever Oden goes. In contrast to Izo who chosed to stay on Whitebeard's ship, Inu and Neko thoughtlessly infiltrated the Oro Jackson ship when Oden decided to sail with Roger.
10. Sunbell
Sunbell was a member of the Roger Pirates from the Fish-Man Island. He was briefly seen in Kozuki Oden's flashback. When compared to the rest of Roger's crew, Sunbell looked flashy because he is a fishman.
Because of that, Sunbell naturally possessed strength that exceeded the average normal human. In addition, he also uses a trident to fight. Unfortunately, Sunbell's power has only been shown at a glance and has not been explored further.
11. Douglas Bullet (Honorable Mention)
This article seems incomplete without mentioning Douglas Bullet as Roger's crew. Unlike the previous Roger crew, Douglas Bullet is a non-canon character who only appears in the One Piece Stampede movie.
Bullet had an ambition to surpass Roger. He lost his goal after Roger died and he went mad until he was caught and imprisoned in Impel Down. In terms of strength, Bullet has an overpowering power and it takes the combined strength of many parties to defeat him. Bullet possesses the Gasa Gasa no Mi devil fruit which allows him to combine inanimate objects at will.
