U.A School is a very famous and most prestigious hero academy in Japan. One of the mainstay departments at this school is the hero department which is divided into two classes, namely class A and class B.
In the story, Class 1-A is often the main focus because they are often involved in conflicts with criminals. Even though they were still disciples, they had no qualms about fighting against criminals who disturbed the peace.
Well, this time we want to review the list of students in class 1-A and their quirks. Let's just talk about it without further ado!
1. Izuku Midoriya – Deku
Midoriya is the heir to All Might's One For All. He is a very diligent student and always trains all the time to control his strength. Midoriya's strong determination is usually able to move the hearts of his friends in class 1-A.
After going through very hard training, Midoriya was finally able to use One For All's power up to 20% without injuring himself. In addition to increasing the user's physical strength and endurance, this quirk is very unique because One For All users can access the abilities of the previous One For All owner.
2. Shoto Todoroki – Shoto
Shoto Todoroki is the son of Endeavor who is now known as the Number 1 Pro Hero. Initially, Todoroki has a very secretive nature and he hates his father very much. His personality slowly changes after he gets to know Midoriya and his other friends.
Todoroki has a very powerful quirk called Half Hot - Half Cold which allows him to create ice with his right hand and fire with his left. Todoroki is very strong for a class of his age. It wasn't surprising since he was trained so hard and cruelly by Endeavor.
3. Katsuki Bakugo – Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight
Bakugo is Midoriya's childhood friend and main rival. He has a very rude nature and is not friendly with other people. In addition, he also often feels rivaled by Midoriya's strength, especially after he finds out that Midoriya has inherited All Might's power.
Because of that, Bakugo always trains very hard so that he doesn't lose to Midoriya. Bakugo has the Explosion quirk which allows him to create explosions from his sweat. Bakugo continues to hone his quirk from time to time until he grows stronger so that he can become a hero like All Might.
4. Tenya Ida – Ingenium
Tenya Ida is the head of class 1-A who is very disciplined and obeys the rules. He is the younger brother of Tensai Ida who is known as the hero Ingenium. After Tensai lost both legs to Stein's attack, he passed the name Ingenium to Tenya.
Because of that, Tenya tried her best to make her sister proud. Ida has a quirk called Engine which allows her to move very quickly like a machine. Despite this, he has limitations in using his abilities. If he overextends his strength, the engine will stop for a period of time.

This cute girl is Midoriya's best friend who always helps him in trouble. Not only that, Urahara also seems to like Midoriya even though she doesn't dare to say it directly.
Urahara has a quirk called Gravity. With that quirk, Urahara can dispel gravity on any object she touches, both inanimate and living. Urahara can use this quirk ability to the fullest if she uses tactics in fighting.
6. Eijiro Kirishima – Red Riot
Next, there is Eijiro Kirishima who stands out quite a lot compared to the rest of his friends. He got a sizable portion in the story during the Shie Hassaikai arc. He fought alongside Fatgum to defeat the all-powerful Overhaul members.
Kirishima's quirk is Hardening. With that quirk, Kirishima can harden and sharpen parts of his body to become jagged and rock-hard. In addition, Kirishima is able to withstand considerable damage in combat with this ability.
7. Tsuyu Asui – Froppy
Tsuyu Asui is one of the 1-A students who is quite experienced in the battlefield. She had gone through difficult conditions when she was apprenticed with the Pro Hero. Because of that, her way of thinking was very different from the rest of her friends.
Tsuyu's quirk is Frog which makes her body characteristics very similar to that of a frog. Because of that, she is able to show various very useful skills, such as the ability to swim, jump, and stick her tongue out up to 20 meters which is usually used to catch enemies.
8. Momo Yaoyorozu – Creati
Yaozorozu is one of the brightest students in his class. In addition, she is also very popular in the U.A. school. Unlike the other friends, Yaoyorozu entered the U.A through an official recommendation. Even though she is very talented, she is often insecure about her abilities.
Yaozorozu has a quirk called Creati which allows her to create objects from her body. However, she needed to eat a lot of food as an intake for her quirk to be used effectively. In addition, she takes longer to create large objects.
9. Fumikage Tokoyami – Tsukuyomi
This class 1-A student has a bird-like appearance. He always appeared serious and rarely spoke. Even so, he is one of the 1-A students who could be relied on in battle.
Fumikage has a unique quirk called Dark Shadow. With that quirk, he is able to create shadow monsters that are very powerful and useful in combat. The strength of the monster depends on the light conditions. Dark Shadow will be stronger and wilder when he is in a dark room or place.
10. Mezo Shoji – Tantacole
Just like Fumikage, the appearance of student 1-A on this one is no less eccentric. Despite his somewhat intimidating appearance, Shoji has a good nature and he easily gets along with anyone.
Shoji has a quirk called Dupli-Arms which allows him to have a multifunctional set of tentacles. The tips of these tentacles can mimic other body parts, such as the eyes, mouth, and ears. Shoji's ability is perfect for detecting enemy locations. In addition, he is also quite good at fighting.

Denki Kaminari is a grade 1-A student who often appears relaxed and pretentious. He easily gets along with other people, such as Bakugo and Shinso who are less friendly. In addition, he is often careless and outspoken.
Denki has a quirk called Electrification which allows him to create electrical energy and circulate it throughout his body. He was actually capable of launching long range attacks, but he lacked control over them so they were quite dangerous for his comrades around him.
12. Mina Ashido – Alien Queen
Although her appearance is quite strange, Mina is a very cheerful student and likes to hang out with her friends. She also has a very close relationship with Kirishima because they had attended the same school.
Mina's quirk is Acid, which makes Mina able to produce corrosive acid from her body. Although this acid attack is quite lethal, there are certain limitations for Mina to produce it. If she overproduces the fluid, her skin's natural resistance becomes vulnerable to it.
13. Mashirao Ojiro – Tailman
Mashiaro Ojiro is Midoriya's friend who is very skilled in martial arts. It can be seen from the outward appearance. In terms of physical ability, he is arguably superior to his other friends.
Mashiaro has a quirk called Tail which allows him to have a very strong and tough tail. The tail usually serves as a third hand that he can use to hold things. The tail is so strong that it can break objects as hard as metal.

This 1-A student is a very talented young girl in the field of music. She had an important role in the School Festival event. Thanks to her musical skills, she was able to put on a really cool performance on stage with her friends.
Kyoka's quirk is called Earphone Jack. That ability makes her have a pair of headphone jacks in her ears that have various functions. With the jack, she is able to track the enemy's whereabouts and she is able to produce a loud sound to attack the opponent.
15. Rikido Sato – Sugarman
Next, there is Rikido Sato who really likes sugar and sweets. This is not surprising because all sweet foods are a very valuable source of his strength. In addition, Rikido is also a talented chef.
Rikido has a quirk called Sugar Rush. He is able to increase his strength by five times for three minutes. To activate that ability, Rikido must eat 10 grams of sugar. He also went through quite a hard training to be able to increase his physical strength in battle.
16. Hanta Sero – Cellophane
The next class 1-A student is Hanta Sero who is quite familiar with his other friends. He may be less popular than his peers, but he always tries to impress others with his quirk.
Sero has a quirk called Tape which makes his arm turn into a tape dispenser that can produce a long tape-like tape. He can shoot a long ribbon and pull it back. This ability is very useful when used to capture enemies in battle.
17. Toru Hagakure – Invisible Girl
Toru Hagakure is a class 1-A student who always appears invisible. We just can see the uniform she wear. What does the original look like? So far, no one knows her physical appearance.
Toru has the quirk called Invisibility which makes hrt able to become an invisible human. In addition, she is able to refract light through her body and allow her to reflect the light into a flash that dazzles opponents. Toru's ability is very useful for launching surprise attacks.
18. Koji Koda – Anima
Koji Koda is Deku's classmate who loves animals very much. From outward appearances, he may appear strong, but he has a very shy nature and rarely talks. He also can't get along with his friends.
Koji has a qurik named Anima. The Quirk allows him to communicate with animals and ask them to do something. He can also ask the animals he is talking to to tell them the location of the enemy.
19. Minoru Mineta – Grape Juice
This friend of Deku is very silly and very flirtatious with girls. He also likes to think about dirty things. His goofy behavior often brings a very pleasant humor to the story.
Mineta has a quirk called Pop Off. This quirk allows him to create super sticky objects from his head. This quirk may not be very useful in combat. However, Mineta is able to make this quirk useful by using her clever tactics when fighting.
20. Yuga Aoyama – Can't Stop Twinkling
The last student of class 1.A is Yuga Aoyama who is no less ridiculous than Mineta. He is quite narcissistic and likes to pose to attract the attention of those around him. Behind that attitude, Yuga actually feels inferior with his quirk and feels left behind from his friends.
Yuga's Quirk is a Navel Laser which he can fire from the navel of his stomach. The laser attack is actually very powerful because it can blow up the target. Unfortunately, Yuga still can't control this quirk to its full potential. However, he did not give up and continued to train.
