1. Takasugi Shinsuke
Takasugi Shinsuke is the leader of the Kihetai group as well as a very powerful samurai. He has a charismatic nature so that he is respected by all his followers. In addition, he has the ambition to destroy the world.
In terms of strength, Takasugi can be said to be on par with Gintoki. They both studied under the guidance of the same teacher. However, the two of them took different paths after their teacher died.
2. Kawakami Bansai
Kawakami Banzai can be said to be Takasugi's right-hand man. He often takes over command when Takasugi is not around. In addition, he has a cool appearance and is very skilled at playing music.

6. Hiraga Saburou
Hiraga Saburou is the son of Hiraga Gengai who participated in the Joui war. Just like his father, Saburou has great skills as a mechanic. He was able to create sophisticated machines.
Saburou was once a member of the Kihetai and fought alongside Takasugi. However, he died tragically at the end of the battle. His death also made Gengai start to hate Bakufu.
