Flame Breathing is one of the five main branches of breathing in the story Kimetsu no Yaiba. As the name implies, this breath mimics the properties of a very hot flame and is able to burn the enemy.
There are nine Flame Breathing techniques in total. However, only 6 techniques are shown throughout the story. For more details, check the complete information below!
1. Ichi no kata: Shiranui
Ichi no kata: Shiranui is the first technique of Flame Breathing. When issuing this technique, the user will move towards the target at high speed. After that, the user will slash the demon's neck with one powerful slash.
Rengoku first demonstrated this technique when he fought one of the demons on the train. With this technique, he was able to defeat the demon instantly.
2. Ni no kata: Nobori En
The second Flame Breathing Technique is Ni no kata: Nobori En. The user of this technique will slash the opponent vertically upwards to create a fire effect that looks really cool.
Rengoku first demonstrated this technique when he saved Tanjiro from Akaza's hands. Even though this technique was able to slash Akaza's arm, the demon was still able to regenerate very quickly.
3. San no kata: Kien Banshō
Furthermore, there is a third Flame Breathing technique called San no kata: Kien Banshō. Unlike the previous technique, the slashes from Kien Banshō move vertically from top to bottom.
Rengoku uses this technique to attack Akaza. Unfortunately, this attack is not very effective because Akaza can dodge it easily.
4. Shi no kata: Sei En
Shi no kata: Sei En is the fourth technique of Flame Breathing. Through this technique, the user can issue a single slash in a circular motion which functions to block an opponent's attack.
If needed, the user can issue several slashes at once through this technique. Rengoku used this technique to parry Akaza's blow.
5. Go no kata: Enko
The fifth technique of Flame Breathing is Go no kata: Enko. When casting this technique, the user will issue a powerful slash that takes the form of a flaming tiger. In addition, this technique is considered very strong and vicious.
Even so, this technique has not been able to defeat a demon as strong as Akaza. He was still able to withstand this attack with the force of his punch.
6. Ku no kata: Rengoku
Ku no kata: Rengoku is the ninth technique of Flame Breathing. This technique allows the user to issue a massive attack at full speed. Interestingly, this technique looks like a dragon in the anime version.
Rengoku uses this technique as his final stance to defeat Akaza. The attack power of this technique is so strong that Akaza is seriously injured. Unfortunately, this technique has not been able to destroy Akaza.
