The Special Fire Force is a firefighting organization whose mission is to overcome a fire monster called Infernal. They consist of eight squads, each led by a captain.

Company 1 Captain – Leonardo Burns
Leonard Burns is a very strong Third Generation firebender and is respected by firefighters. He always looks serious and his presence can intimidate others.
Burns' fire power is known as Voltage Nova. The way this ability works is somewhat unique. Unlike other firebenders, Burns burns fire within his body to increase his physical abilities many times over through thermal energy.
Company 2 Captain – Gustav Honda
Gustav Honda has great pride as a member of the military. He also showed great loyalty towards Raffles III. Even though he looks arrogant, he really cares about the safety of his subordinates.
Gustav also includes the Third Generation. He is able to produce fire through his smooth and bald scalp. Because of that, his header was so strong that he was able to destroy objects like ruins in one strike.
Squad 3 Captain – Dr. Giovanni
Dr. Giovanni is a captain who has a distinctive feature because he always wears a plague doctor mask. In addition to appearing mysterious, he also has evil intentions because he is secretly working with the White Clad.
Dr. Giovanni has the ability as a Second Generation. He is able to channel his power through the weapons and tools stored in his body and mantle. An example is that he can shoot mechanical hands and control them in the air.
Company 4 Captain – Soichiro Hague
When he first appears, Soichiro Hague looks like a haughty old man. However, he turns out to have a goofy side. He is very obsessed with Adolla Burst fire which is owned by Shinra.
Although Hague does not show any ability to control fire, he is very skilled with weapons. He has several supporting equipment, such as a pair of axes and ropes that can bind the target's body.
Company 5 Captain – Hibana
Hibana is the adopted older sister of Iris who was once an enemy of Troop 8. She is very arrogant and always considers everyone else as pebbles, except for Shinra. After being defeated by Shinra, she developed a crush on the boy and agreed to work with Squad 8.
As the Third Generation, Hibana has the ability to control fire called Clematis. She is able to create flames in the form of cherry blossoms to attack enemies. In addition, she can control the temperature around her to make the enemy dizzy.
Company 6 Captain – Kayoko Huang
Unlike the previous captain, Kayoko Huang and her crew have specialists in the medical field. They used to treat and heal the firemen who were seriously injured in battle.
Kayoko is able to create fire that looks like a serpent. The fire that Kayako produces can regenerate the body and accelerate cell division. In that way, she could heal someone's illness or wound easily.
Company 7 Captain – Shinmon Benimaru
Shinmon Benimaru is a highly respected figure in Asakusa. He is known as the strongest firefighter ever. Benimaru has a very unique ability because he is a second and third generation hybrid flame user.
Apart from creating fire from his own body, Benimaru can also manipulate fire from external sources. He is very good at controlling the fire and the power as well as the size of the fire he creates is terrible. He also mastered the Iaido martial arts.
Company 8 Captain – Akitaru Obi
Akitaru Obi was just an ordinary firefighter at first. After he saw the fireman phenomenon, he was moved to join the Special Fire Force until he became the captain of Squad 8.
Obi has a high spirit of justice and always prioritizes the safety of others. Even though he is not a fire controller, he is considered a very tough fighter because he always trains his muscles and physical strength.
