In My Hero Academia: You're Next, Deku and his friends must face off against a dangerous mafia family from Eeurope, the Gollini Family. They are a powerful crime organization with vast resources.
Their leader, Valdo Gollini, is obsessed with replacing All Might and dominating the world with his power. He and his loyal followers strive to achieve this ambition.
To increase their fighting power, the Gollini Family kidnaps a young girl named Anna Servino, who possesses a special Quirk called Overmodification. Her Quirk can enhance the Quirks of Gollini Family members to even higher levels.
After acquiring Anna's powers, they then carry out a massive terror attack on Japan. However, Deku and his friends try to stop their ambitions, leading to an intense battle.
In this article, we will discuss more about the Gollini Family members and their Quirk powers. If you're curious, watch this video until the end!
1. Valdo Gollini
Valdo Gollini was a ruthless mafia boss obsessed with power. He even killed his own father to take over leadership of the Gollini Family.
Valdo admired All Might so much that he was inspired to become like him. After witnessing All Might's battle against All For One, Valdo decided to become the new All Might and take over his role as the Symbol of Justice.
So obsessed was Valdo that he even changed his face and appearance with his Quirk, becoming a near-resemblance of All Might. However, he fell into a false idealism, focusing solely on power without understanding All Might's principles of justice.
When Valdo revealed himself and his ambitions to All Might, All Might strongly opposed Valdo's goals, considering him a criminal seeking darkness.
After receiving rejection from All Might, Valdo decided to adopt the moniker Dark Might, believing it best represented him. This further fueled his desire for world domination.
Valdo possesses a Quirk called Alchemy, which allows him to perform alchemical processes. He can transmute matter from inanimate objects he touches into anything he desires, such as turning coins into iron bars and so on.
Another example is Valdo, who can transform coins into a group of powerful monsters. He can also use his powers to change his facial structure to resemble All Might's and manipulate his battle robe.
Uniquely, these transmuted objects aren't limited to physical objects; Valdo can also transform them into kinetic energy, such as when he turns his fists into energy fists that can be directed at enemies like bullets.
Thanks to Anna's Overmodification power, Dark Might's alchemy powers have increased to an even more insane level. He was able to transform their headquarters into a massive flying fortress with various complex and diverse artificial structures within.
Furthermore, Dark Might can transform himself into a massive monster, further enhancing his terrifying strength. However, he was ultimately defeated by Deku with the help of his friends.
2. Bruno Gollini
The next member is Bruno Gollini. He has a rather flamboyant appearance and a cold and cruel demeanor. Furthermore, he possesses a Quirk whose power is quite troublesome to deal with. His Quirk is called Delay Spot.
Bruno can create a kind of bubble around a targeted area. Anything trapped within the bubble will move in slow motion. However, this slowing effect doesn't affect him, allowing him to move freely within it.
Bruno can use this ability for self-defense, such as blocking bullets aimed at him. He can also use it to trap enemies and make them vulnerable to attack.
While this ability is quite troublesome, the slowing effect is ineffective against objects or enemies moving at super-high speeds, such as Deku's Faux 100 Percent attack.
3. Kamile Gollini
Next, there's Kamile Gollini, who has a rather odd appearance with a large nose and a constant smile. Furthermore, his role in battle is less prominent than the other members of the Gollini family.
Kamile possesses a Quirk called Spatial Excursion. He can move or teleport objects and people freely.
Kamile is also able to move enormous objects, such as the Gollini Family's giant fortress. However, his overall strength is very weak, and he is ultimately easily defeated by Lemillion.
4. Paulo Gollini
Paulo Gollini is a member of the Gollini family with a unique, animal-like appearance. He has a calm demeanor and appears serious when defeating his enemies.
Furthermore, Paulo possesses a unique Quirk called Erasure Spot, which is similar to Eraserhead's, allowing him to deactivate his enemies' Quirks. However, his power operates differently from Aizawa's Quirk.
Paulo can create a kind of energy dome that surrounds an area. Anyone who enters the area will have their Quirks deactivated, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
Furthermore, Paulo can create smaller domes within the larger dome so he and his teammates can still use their Quirks. Because of this power, Paulo is quite difficult to approach directly.
When fighting him, Deku needed Giulio's help to distract him. When he was off guard, Deku approached him and quickly defeated him.
5. Simon Gollini
Next, there's Simon Gollini, who enjoys dressing like a wizard. He's a fan of RPG games. This interest aligns with his Quirk, Summon Monster.
Simon is capable of creating various types of monsters. The monsters Simon creates closely resemble those typically found in dungeon adventure stories. He can also create an endless number of monsters thanks to Anna's Overmodification power.
Uniquely, Simon is very enthusiastic when he observes the battles between the heroes and the monsters he created. However, Simon himself is very weak without the help of these monsters. Therefore, he was easily defeated by Bakugo.
6. Deborah Gollini
Next, there's Deborah Gollini, a beautiful, graceful, and charming member of the Gollini Family. However, she has a haughty and arrogant nature like the other members.
Furthermore, Deborah possesses a very troublesome Quirk, Daydream. She can render anyone who looks into her eyes unconscious and send them into a sweet dreamlike sleep.
Victims affected by Deborah's power become extremely vulnerable to attack and injury. Furthermore, they cannot easily escape the sweet dream trap created by Deborah.
Under normal circumstances, Deborah can only target one person at a time. However, things change after her powers are enhanced by Anna's Overmodification. She can target multiple people simultaneously without difficulty.
However, the power of her Quirk can still be countered with technology or supporting items, such as Giulio's cybernetic eye, which remains active and attacks Deborah automatically.
Or in the case of Deku, who realizes the strangeness of the dream thanks to the help of the spirit of a previous One For All user. If Deborah is injured by the attack, the victim can be freed from the effects of Deborah's power.
7. Ugo Gollini
The next member of the Gollini Family is an elderly man named Ugo. Like most of the other members, he has an arrogant nature and likes to toy with his enemies. He also often sits on Gil Gollini's shoulders and cooperates with him in battle.
Ugo possesses the Quirk Telekinesis, which allows him to freely move inanimate objects. For example, his power allows him to move building debris and direct it at his enemies with full force.
The impact of Ugo's attacks has been proven to easily destroy Todoroki's ice defenses. Combined with Gil Gollini's powers, the two of them can temporarily trouble Todoroki and Bakugo.
8. Gil Gollini
Finally, there's Gil Gollini, a large, quiet man. Gil possesses the Quirk Teleportation, which allows him to instantly teleport. This power extends beyond himself; it can also be used on objects or people he touches.
Gil's teleportation abilities are enhanced by Anna's Overmodification. He became extremely difficult to attack because he could evade his enemies' attacks by teleporting in the blink of an eye.
However, Gil's teleportation ability was limited to areas within Gil's sight. Seeing this opening, Bakugo and Todoroki then attacked the battle area with all their might, limiting Gil's range of movement, thus defeating both him and Ugo.
