Kamen Rider Den-O is one of the most popular Kamen Rider series in Heisei Period. The series follows the adventures of Ryotaro and the Imagin, who try to maintain the flow of time to prevent the future from being destroyed.
Uniquely, the story is spiced with comedic nuances thanks to the antics of Ryotaro and the Imagin that possess him.
In this article, we want to discuss about the various forms of Kamen Rider Den-O and their powers in battle. Let's get straight to the point.
1. Plat Form
Plat Form is the base form of Kamen Rider Den-O. This form has a basic black and white design and is activated when Ryotaro transforms using the Rider Pass.
To transform into another form, Ryotaro can press one of the four buttons on his belt. This form is rarely used by Ryotaro because it lacks armor and weapons, making it less effective in combat.
2. Sword Form
When Momotaros possesses Ryotaro's body or possesses a physical body, Momotaros can transform into Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form using the Den-O belt.
In this form, he uses DenGasher in sword mode to fight against the Imajin. This form is the one that appears most often, perhaps because Momotaros is more dominant than Ryotaro's other Imajin. In combat, he is also very brutal and merciless towards the Imajin.
Momotaros has several final attacks, ranging from parts 1 to 5. To activate them, he must first activate Full Charge with his Rider Pass. When unleashing his final attack, Momotaros will throw his sword at the enemy either horizontally or vertically with extremely powerful attack power.
At the end of the story, his final attack is extremely powerful because it combines the power of Kamen Rider Zeronos and other Imajin, such as Urataros, Kintaros, Ryutaros, and Sieg.
3. Rod Form
The next transformation is Den-O Rod Form. Ryotaro transforms into this form when possessed by Urataros. Furthermore, Urataros can also transform instantly if he possesses a physical body, similar to Momotaros. In this form, Urataros transforms DenGAsher into a spear-shaped weapon.
Rod Form offers special combat advantages, such as the ability to fight underwater, extra protection, and a super kick. When executing a final attack,
Urataros throws his spear at the enemy, causing a hexagonal symbol to appear. Afterward, Urataros unleashes a powerful kick that can destroy the enemy.
4. Ax Form
When Kintaros possesses Ryotaro or possesses his own body, Kintaros can transform into Kamen Rider Den-O Ax Form. Kintaros typically transforms into Den-O when he senses crying or hears a word similar to "naku."
This form offers advantages in strength and defense, as Kintaros is essentially a physically powerful Imagin. However, his combat speed is reduced.
In this form, DenGasher transforms into an axe, capable of delivering short-range attacks. When executing his final attack, Kintaros leaps high and splits an Imajin with a vertical strike, calling this attack the dynamic chop.
5. Gun Form
Gun Form activates when Ryutaros possesses Ryotaro or possesses his own body, similar to Momo and others. However, Ryutaros often acts as he pleases, making this form quite frequent in the story.
In this form, DenGasher transforms into a pistol, capable of both short- and long-range attacks. Furthermore, Ryutaros can use breakdancing-style maneuvers, making his movements unpredictable.
Furthermore, he has low shooting accuracy, which often results in damage to the battlefield. Despite this, Gun Form has many advantages over other forms. Gun Form's final attack is a super-powerful shot that can cause a massive explosion in the enemy.
6. Wing Form
Wing Form is a form that activates when Sieg possesses Ryotaro or possesses his own body. Unlike other forms, to transform into this form, Sieg places the Wing Buckle on top of the Terminal Buckle.
Den-O is then enveloped in a golden material. Also unique is that DenGasher transforms into two weapons: a boomerang and a small axe. It boasts superior speed and greater mobility than Gun Form.
Furthermore, Sieg has a rather elegant fighting style. His finishing attack involves throwing both of his weapons at his opponent. In the original series, this form was shown once when Sieg fought to protect his contract holder.
7. Climax Form
Climax Form is the super form of Kamen Rider Den-O. This form was mastered by Ryotaro when the three Imajin, except Momotaros, began to disappear.
Unwilling to lose them, Ryotaro created the K-Taros cellphone and used it in conjunction with the Den-O belt. To activate it, Ryotaro must enter the code 3-6-9-#.
Climax Form can be considered a more powerful version of Sword Form. However, in this form, the Taros must work together and combine their powers: the Rod Form Mask on the right hand, the Ax Form Mask on the left hand, and the Gun Form Mask on the chest, while also controlling the legs.
Each Taros has control over their respective body parts. In addition, they possess two deadly attack techniques: Kick Mode and Punch Mode.
8. Super Climax Form
Thus form is a more enhanced version of Climax Form. Unlike Climax Form, Sieg merges with another Imajin, so Wing Form also becomes part of this form, with wings appearing on Den-O's back.
Furthermore, this form also allows for flight and a more powerful final attack.
9. Liner Form
Finally, there's Liner Form, the final form of Kamen Rider Den-O. This form was obtained by Ryotaro when the Taros created the DenKamen Sword for him when their synchronization with Ryotaro failed. To transform into this form, Ryotaro must insert the Rider Pass into the back of the sword.
Unlike the other forms, Ryotaro has full control when using this form. However, Ryotaro can use his Imajin fighting style by selecting the Mask on the sword.
For example, he uses KinAx mode for power-based attacks and defense, or RyuGun when he wants to shoot enemies. Compared to other forms, Liner Form's power is insignificant because its strength is highly dependent on Ryotaro's combat skills.
