All Insect Breathing Techniques in Kimetsu no Yaiba

Insect Breathing is a one of unique Breathing Style in Kimetsu no Yaiba. As the name suggests, this breathing technique mimics the movements and deadly weapons of insects.

Shinobu Kocho is able to combine this breathing technique with her stinger-like Nichirin sword. She also uses the poison of Wisteria flowers to eliminate demons.

So far, only four Insect Breathing techniques have been showed in the story. What are they? Check out the full review below!

1. Chō no mai: Tawamure

Chō no mai: Tawamure is the first technique demonstrated by Shinobu Kocho to eliminate Rui's older sister. The name and movement of this technique are inspired by a butterfly.

Shinobu leaps into the air and darts toward the enemy. At the same time, she injects poison from her sword into the enemy repeatedly in rapid succession.

2. Hōga no mai: Manabiki

Unlike the previous technique, Hōga no mai: Manabiki is named after a bee.

Shinobu will launch at high speed and use that momentum to deliver a single, deadly stab at the enemy.

3. Seirei no mai: Fukugan Rokkaku

Seirei no mai: Fukugan Rokkaku is a technique consisting of six consecutive attacks and is named after a dragonfly.

Each attack targets the target's vital points, such as the neck and heart. Furthermore, this technique allows Shinobu to kill the target with a large dose of poison.

4. Gokō no mai: Hyakusoku Jabara

The final technique mastered by Shinobu is Gokō no mai: Hyakusoku Jabara, which is named after a centipede. When using this technique, Shinobu will move in a zigzag pattern at full speed.

This move is useful for confusing enemies and creating an opening for Shinobu to stab them in the neck with a powerful poison. Doma even admitted that the speed of the attack was impressive.
