In Hunter x Hunter, Greed Island is a very popular game among Hunters. It is very challenging and dangerous. Furthermore, only Nen users can participate.
Greed Island was first released in 1987 and was created by Ging and his friends, who later became Game Masters. Interestingly, the game's name is taken from the first initials of its developers.

1. Ging Freeces
Ging Freeces is Gon's father and has a renowned reputation as a Hunter. He was once a member of the 12 Zodiacs, codenamed Boar. His fighting prowess was recognized by Netero.
Ging loves to give Gon riddles about his whereabouts. This is what motivates Gon to become a Hunter. Ging also gives Gon clues to play the dangerous game Greed Island.
2. Razor
Razor is one of Ging's colleagues and the Game Master, responsible for overseeing the system to ensure its functionality. He also serves as the final boss in the mission to obtain the Plot of Beach.
Although Razor appears laid-back, he is a powerful Nen user. He can emit a condensed aura in the form of a red sphere. This aura sphere is extremely powerful and has the potential to instantly kill opponents.
3. Elena
Elena plays a crucial role as an operator, responsible for guiding players who leave the game. She has a youthful appearance and tends to speak in a monotone.
Elena is a trusted partner of Ging. However, she seems confused by Ging's motives and train of thought. She can send Gon to Ging or Kite depending on the card Gon chooses.
4. Eta
Eta is Elena's twin sister and is responsible for guiding new players. She appears very professional and speaks very mechanically.
Eta's main task is to explain the basic rules of Greed Island. Furthermore, she always keeps an eye on everyone who comes to Greed Island, from official players to illegal infiltrators like members of the Phantom Troupe.
5. Dwun
Dwun is Ging's best friend who appears laid-back and enjoys smoking. Interestingly, his real name isn't actually Dwun, but Wdwune. However, Ging changed it to Dwun so that his first initial could be used for the name of the game Greed Island.
Dwun lives in a very messy room that resembles a trash can. Because of this, he often has difficulty finding certain items in his room. Gon once visited Dwun's room to seek information about Ging.
6. List
Finally, there's a young, blond-haired man named List. He lives with Dwun in a castle located in Limeiro, Greed Island. He has a very neat appearance and compares favorably to Dwun.
Personally, List is friendly and likes to speak politely. This is clearly evident when List warmly welcomes Gon and guides him to Dwun's room.
