Made in Abyss is an exciting exploration anime to watch. It tells the story of a girl named Riko who explores a dangerous place called the Abyss to find her mother, who mysteriously disappeared.
The Abyss is a giant hole discovered 1,900 years ago around an island in the southern seas of Beoluska. This place has a unique ecosystem. There, remnants of ancient civilizations, such as hidden artifacts and treasures, are found there.
Many Delvers, or Cave Raiders are interested in exploring this place, both to hunt for valuable artifacts and to uncover the mysteries there. However, this endeavor is not easy, as they must face ferocious creatures and other threats.
In Made in Abyss, Delvers are classified with Whistles of different colors based on their ability, experience, and achievements. Check out the following discussion to find out!
1. Bells
The lowest level is Bells. This rank is given to those, especially young children, who are still learning to become explorers. They are not given whistles, but bells.
When Reg first arrived at the Belchero Orphanage, he was given a bell to temporarily hold until he could undertake his first exploration of the Abyss.
2. Red Whistles
Red Whistles are a rank awarded to bell holders who successfully complete an expedition to the first layer of the Abyss. They are still considered beginners due to their limited physical strength.
Explorers with the Red Whistles rank are only permitted to explore depths of 550 meters. If they go deeper than that, a rescue team will attempt to rescue them.
3. Blue Whistles
The next rank is Blue Whistles. Those at this rank are explorers who have adapted and gained sufficient experience. They are permitted to explore the second layer of the Abyss.
Blue Whistles demonstrate the ability to fight and defend themselves against the ferocious creatures of the Forest of Temptation. Furthermore, those who reach this rank are typically 15 years old.
4. Moon Whistles
Moon Whistles are at a different level than the previous ranks. They possess extensive experience and can safely explore the third and fourth layers of the Abyss.
With their experience, Moon Whistles can serve as mentors and mentors for young explorers. Jiruo is a prime example of an explorer at the Moon Whistles level.
5. Black Whistles
Black Whistles are highly skilled explorers who have mastered the techniques of exploring the Abyss. They have the capacity to explore the fourth and fifth layers of the Abyss. These layers are known to be extremely dangerous and pose a high risk to explorers.
Those at this level typically work as subordinates of White Whistles on expeditions. To reach this rank, an explorer must receive a recommendation from another Black Whistles.
6. White Whistles
The highest level of explorers are White Whistles. They are considered legendary for their world-changing achievements. They also have nicknames that reflect their unique personas.
In addition to being skilled explorers, White Whistles are powerful fighters, equipped with artifacts. They are also capable of reaching deeper layers that are impossible for ordinary explorers, such as Layer 6.
