Libero is one of the most important positions in volleyball. A libero plays a major role in strengthening the team's defense. They must always be ready to withstand the opponent's attacks and save the ball.
In Haikyuu!, there are several interesting and talented liberos. Who are they? Check out the full review below!
10. Sō Akama
Sō Akama is a libero who plays for Nohebi. He tends to follow the flow of his seniors' play. He also likes to remind his seniors of their aggressive and easily angered behavior.
Although he doesn't stand out, Sō gives his best during matches on the court. This was clearly evident during his match against Nekoma. He was quite skilled at receiving the ball from the opponent.
9. Kōsuke Sakunami
Date Tech is known as a team that specializes in blocking opponent attacks. They have star players like Aone and Koganegawa. Besides these two, there's also Kōsuke Sakunami, who plays a significant role in the team's defense.
Kōsuke takes his duties as libero very seriously. He trains diligently to provide the best possible support for his team. However, he doesn't stand out as much as the liberos from other teams.
8. Kazuteru Akiu
The next most talented libero is Kazuteru Akiu from the Wakutani team. He possesses the stamina and speed of a typical libero. Furthermore, he is incredibly dedicated.
Akiu gets very frustrated when he fails to receive or block the ball. During the match against Karasuno, he did his best to stop Asahi's spikes.

7. Shinji Watari
Next, there's Shinji Watari, a libero from the Seijoh team. He seems to enjoy challenges. He's also able to adapt the flow of the game to suit his team's strategy.
Besides his defensive prowess, Watari also possesses skills as a setter. While not as skilled as Oikawa, he's quite confident when passing the ball to his teammates. He can certainly be a great support for the team.
6. Haruki Komi
Haruki Komi plays libero on the Fukurodani team. Like Bokuto, he's energetic and quite loud. He also likes to speak his mind bluntly.
In terms of skill, Haruki is a team player who works very well. He also works hard to keep Bokuto's performance up during matches. If Bokuto is in a bad mood, his team's performance will automatically suffer.
5. Michinari Akagi
Next, there's Michinari Akagi, a libero from the Inarizaki team. He has a friendly demeanor and is adept at supporting the team throughout the match. Similar to Nishinoya, he also displays exceptional reflexes and agility.

This is not surprising, as Yaku is indeed very talented. He is very agile in receiving the ball from the opponent. Furthermore, he is capable of using movements that can deceive opponents during matches.
2. Yū Nishinoya
In second place is Yū Nishinoya, nicknamed "Karasuno's Guardian Deity." While it may sound exaggerated, the nickname truly suits Nishinoya. He is a very talented and reliable libero on the team.
Nishinoya possesses impressive reflexes and speed. No matter how difficult the opponent's attack, he strives to save the ball and stay connected with his teammates.
1. Motoya Komori
Although Motoya Komori's abilities haven't been fully demonstrated in the anime, he can be considered a top libero. This is evident from the fact that he accepted an invitation to join the All-Japan Youth Intensive Training Camp.
