As the name suggests, Thanatos has terrible powers because he is able to bring death to anyone who becomes his target. Not only that, he doesn't need to make physical contact to defeat the opponent. As evidence, Thanatos had blown five Gold Cloths in just one attack.
8. Hypnos
This character can be considered as a twin of Thanatos and his strength is still based on ancient Greek legend. Hypnos is known as the God of Sleep and he has the power to put his opponents to sleep in battle.
Unlike Thanatos, Hypnos has a more patient and calculating attitude. He also shows his soft side because he doesn't want to be violent. Although attacks from Hypnos are very strong, the way Hypnos does is less painful than Thanatos' attacks which tend to be aggressive towards the target.

7. Virgo Shaka
Virgo Shaka is one of the most powerful Gold Saints. He is considered a reincarnation figure of Buddha and has the power of God. In addition, Shaka is also very loyal to Athena. Even though Shaka is not a good hero, he hates any evil.
Shaka always closes his eyes because he is able to store the enormous power of his Cosmo. When he open his eyes, he can bring out the chaos. Shaka's terrifying strength allowed him to fight three Gold Saints alone. In one-on-one combat, Shaka has the power to eliminate five of the opponent's senses.
6. Hades
This character is the God of the Underworld. Every two and a half centuries, Hades would descend with the intention of ending the lives of mankind who had committed treason against the gods. Like ancient Greek legend, Hades had the power to raise the dead.
To protect his real body, Hades uses humans as his special vessel. Even in human form, Hades' power is still terrifying. He had shown this ability in the fight against the Bronze Saints. With his sword, Hades is able to snatch the soul of his target.
5. Cygnus Hyoga
Hyoga can probably be said to be the character who has the most tragic story because he has gone through various kinds of obstacles to become a great fighter. During the destruction of Athena's Sanctuary, he must confront and kill his master, Camus the Aquarius Gold Saint.
In the first battle, Hyoga was defeated by Camus. However, he managed to re-battle thanks to the help of his friend. To defeat Camus, Hyoga uses the Absolute Zero technique which he adapted from his master's attack. The attack was very strong and made Hyoga able to freeze his opponent.

4. Dragon Shiryu
Shiryu is a fighter who has a balanced combination of brain, muscle and heart. When he fought Medusa, he even pushed himself so far that he blinded both of his eyes to achieve victory. Shiryu's strong determination often brought him to the verge of death.
Despite that, Shiryu had a shield that was nearly impossible to destroy. In addition, he inherited the extremely powerful Excalibur and Shuura techniques. Because of this, Shiryu has both strong attack and defense techniques. Moreover, he was a disciple of the talented Libra Gold Saint.
3. Andromeda Shun
This Bronze Saint is the kindest and bravest fighter in the story. Shun always refuses to hurt others and he has a fighting style that tends to be defensive. Even though he looks gentle, Shun holds immense power within him.
In battle, Shun always uses Nebula chains that he can use to issue a variety of attacks. When he is faced with a difficult and urgent situation, Shun can release a formidable power that has the potential to destroy anything around him. To prevent that destructive ability, Shun would use the Nebula Storm technique as a solution.
2. Pegasus Saiya
As the main character, it is not surprising that Seiya occupies this position. Although he is often seen using his Pegasus Bronze Cloth, Seiya proved that he can also fight very well when using the Sagittarius Gold Cloth.
