10. Lord of the Coast
This sea monster lives in the waters near the village of Foosha. This monster appears in Luffy's flashback story with Shanks. Because of him, Shanks had to lose his left hand to save the helpless Luffy in the ocean.
When Luffy was about to start his first voyage, this monster reappeared and blocked his path. However, that wasn't a problem as Luffy had grown so much stronger that he could defeat this monster in one hit.
9. Higuma
Like the previous monsters, Higuma also appears in Luffy's flashback stories. He is known as a mountain bandit who has a bounty of 8,000,000 Berries. In addition, he had an argument with Shanks at Makino's bar.
When Higuma and his group badmouthed Shanks, Luffy felt disapproved and angry with Higuma. Since Luffy was young, he was easily defeated by Higuma. Even so, Luffy's bravery deserves to be appreciated.
8. Alvida
