All Riders in Kamen Rider Ryuki, Explained

Kamen Rider Ryuki is the third series of the Heisei era that aired from 2002 to 2003 on TV Asahi. Unlike other Kamen Riders, Ryuki's Kamen Riders carry the theme of Battle Royal or a battle between Riders to realize their respective goals. In addition, the Riders in this series also have to fight against mirror monsters to survive.

Well, this time I want to share a list of Riders who appear in the Ryuki series. Let's just take a look with the list.

1. Kamen Rider Ryuki

Shinji Kido is the main character in Kamen Rider Ryuki. He is an intern journalist working at ORE Journal. He also has a very good attitude, but is also naive and easily deceived by others. Shinji transforms into Kamen Rider Ryuki after finding a mysterious deck in an apartment and making a contract with the dragon mirror monster, Drageder.

Unlike the other Kamen Riders, Sanji doesn't fight to make his wish come true. He fought to stop the battle between Riders which he thought was pointless. During the battle between Riders, he had time to face strong characters, such as Ouja. Shinji also has a perfunctory fighting style. However, he is a balanced fighter in both close and medium range combat.

On top of that, the weapons he used also had the fire element effect of his contract monsters. To use the Advent Card in battle, Kamen Rider Ryuki uses the Drag Visor in his left hand in the shape of a dragon head.

What is unique about Kamen Rider Ryuki is his final attack called "Dragon Kick". He first made a stance then jumped into the air and concentrated power on his legs and Dragreder surrounding him. After that, Drageder pushed Ryuki with his fire breath towards the target with a super strong attack. Kamen rider Ryuki is also a Rider who can change in Survival Mode in this story.

2. Kamen Rider Knight

Ren Akiyama is one of the protagonists in the story. He turns into a Kamen Rider Knight to save his girlfriend, Eri Ogawa, who is in a coma in the hospital. Eri falls into a long and mysterious coma after being attacked by the mirror monster Darkwing. Ironically, Ren then makes a contract with the monster and joins the battle between riders for the sake of his lover.

Kamen Rider Kniht is a tough Rider. He had time to face some strong characters, such as Ouja and Zolda. In addition, he is also a Rider who can survive until the end. To use the Advent Card, Kamen Rider Knight uses the Dark Visor which is a rappier type sword that he usually uses to fight.

Kamen Rider Knight's final attack is Flying Lancer by combining Wing Lancer and Darkwing monster. To launch this attack the Kamen Rider Knight jumps into the air first then focuses the Wing Lancer weapon parallel to his feet then he spins very quickly like a drill machine towards his target. Kamen Rider Knight is also a Rider who can use Survival Mode in Ryuki's story.

3. Kamen Rider Scissor

Kamen Rider Scissor is the third rider to appear in the series. Masashi Sudo is a scheming police detective who uses his position to cover up illegal activities. To carry out the action, he also cooperates with an antique shop owner named Tomoyuki Kaga. Due to disagreements over money, Masashi decided to kill Tomoyaki and at that time Kanzaki Shiro offered him a deck and made a contract with the Volcancer so that he turned into a Kamen Rider Scissor.

Kamen Rider Scissor uses the Scisssors Visor which is shaped like a claw to activate the Advent Card. He also uses the Visor as a weapon. His final attack is the Scissors Attack, the monster throws the kamen rider Scissor into the air with his claw weapon then he spins like a ball before hitting the opponent. Tragically, Kamen Rider Scissor only appears briefly and he is defeated by Kamen Rider Knight.

4. Kamen Rider Zolda

Suichi Kitaoka is a famous lawyer in the series. He is willing to accept an offer from Kanzaki Shiro to turn into Kamen Rider Zolda because he wants to cure his cancer. In addition, he also wants to live forever and enjoy a life of luxury. However, Kitaoka also often experiences dizziness and also falls unconscious in certain situations.

Kamen Rider Zolda is a long range fighter. In addition, Kamen Rider Zolda is also very good at strategizing and making the most of his Advent Card in battle. Most of his attacks deal a large amount of damage because on average he uses heavy weapons, such as bazookas. To use the Advent Card, Kamen Rider Zolda uses a Magna Visor in the form of a machine gun which also functions as the main weapon.

Kamen rider Zolda has a final attack called End of World. When he was about to launch his attack, his contract monster Magnugiga appeared in front of him then he inserted the Magna Visor right behind the monster. Once Zolda pulls the trigger, Magnugiga will release a barrage of bullets capable of destroying the target as well as the environment around it.

5. Kamen Rider Ouja

Takeshi Asakura is a criminal who is imprisoned because he once killed another person. He also has a very sadistic personality and never has any empathy for other people. He accepts the offer to become a Ouja kamen rider so he can get out of prison. However, he finally made the fight between riders a place to have fun. If Asakura wins the rider battle, he intends instead to revive the riders and start the fight from scratch.

In this story, Kamen Rider Ouja fights very brutally. He has also managed to defeat several riders, such as Kamen Rider Gai, Kamen Rider Raia, and Kamen Rider Imperer. To activate his Advent Card, Ouja uses the Veno Visor which is shaped like a wand with the head of a cobra. Ouja's final attack is also almost similar to Ryuki's. The difference is, Ouja's snake emits poison,

What's unique about Kamen Rider Ouja is that he also has three contract monsters. After the Kamen Rider Gai and Raia are defeated by Ouja, their contract monsters Metalgelas and Evildiver attack him. However, Ouja decided to make a contract with the monster. Ouja also has a new monster which is a combination of his three contract monsters named Genocider.

Jun follows the rider battle and transforms into Kamen Rider Gai just for fun like playing games. The goal is to be the winner in this fight.

Actually, Kamen Rider Gai is a pretty tough rider in the series. When fighting against Ryuki, he had time to overwhelm Shinji. Kamen Rider Gai uses a Metal Visor which is located on his left shoulder. He also has a final attack called Heavy Pressure using the Metal Horn weapon and the help of his contract monster Metalgelas. Unfortunately, Kamen Rider Gai was defeated by Kamen Rider Ouja in a battle involving Ryuki, Knight, and Zolda.

However, he was not the first to become Raia's kamen rider. He fights to replace his friend Yuichi, a pianist who has been eaten by a mirror monster named GuidThunder. To avenge his death, he also makes a contract with Evildiver and turns into Kamen Rider Raia.

Kamen rider Raia has a Visor named Evil Visor in the form of a shield in his left hand. In addition, he also has a special Advent Card that can be used to copy the opponent's weapon. His final attack called Hide Venom is quite simple. Raia only needed to ride her contract monster and hit her enemy. Raia was also offered a Survive Card by Kenzaki, but he refused and preferred to give it to Kamen Rider Knight.

Tragically, Kamen Rider Raia dies after receiving a deadly attack from Kamen Rider Ouja to protect Kamen Rider Ryuki. In his prophecy, it was Shinji who should have died after being attacked by Ouja, but he also broke his own prophecy. Raia did that because with it he might be able to change the future.

As a Kamen Rider Tiger, Satoru is quite an amateur fighter. He couldn't be compared to Asakura or the other riders. Kamen Rider Tiger is not very talented in one-on-one combat or fair combat. In fighting, Tiger uses a visor called the Dest Visor, which is the ax he uses as his main weapon. The final attack is called Crystal Break. When using the attack, his contract monster named Destwilder drags the enemy and brings him towards Tiger who is ready with his Dest Claws.

In this story, Satoru died when he saved a little boy who was about to be hit by a car. At the end of his life, he was still looking for the meaning of being a real hero. Ironically, in the newspaper the next day, Satori was called a hero for saving the lives of others.

He also tries to cooperate with other riders to earn extra money.

As a Kamen Rider Imperer, Sano is quite strong. He has a fighting style like Muay Thai by using his legs which have been upgraded using the Gazelle Visor. He has a contract with the monster Gigazelle. Uniquely, there are many monsters that follow him. He was able to control various Gazelle-type monsters.

However, in the end Ryuga was defeated by Ryuki.

In combat, Ryuga's strength is more or less similar to Ryuki's. It's just that Kamen Rider Ryuga is calmer in fighting and he's also very strong. Kamen rider Ouja is famous for being vicious until he is battered by Ryuga. In addition, Ryuga also has a contract monster called Dragblacker, a black dragon monster similar to Ryuki's dragon.
