10 Most Interesting Natural Phenomenon in One Piece

Apart from presenting an exciting adventure plot, One Piece presents a vast world full of mysteries. Not only that, there are many unique and interesting natural phenomenon that occur in the oceans.

What do you think it is? Come on, check out the complete information through the following discussion!

1. Reverse Mountain

Reverse Mountain is a mountain located on the Red Line and is the meeting point of the four seas in the world. In addition, the mountains are the entrance for sailors to the Grand Line.

The pirates who passed through the mountains would sail through the river with a strong updraft. Also, they had to be extra careful not to destroy their ship and hit the Red Line.

2. Calm Belt

Calm Belt is a very strange natural phenomenon and can be considered an anomaly. As the name implies, the ocean looks very calm and quiet. The wind did not blow at all in the ocean.

Nonetheless, the Calm Belt was extremely dangerous because it was the home of fantastic-sized Sea Kings. That's what makes sailors afraid to cross the ocean.

3. Knock Up Stream

The Knock Up Stream is a high pressure current that often occurs around Jaya Island. The current is uniquely aimed skyward in full force. In addition, these currents can destroy ships caught in its reach.

Knock Up Stream only occurs five times a month with varying strengths. Even though the current is very dangerous, the Straw Hat pirates uniquely use the current as a means to get to Sky Island.

4. Milky Road

Unlike the previous natural phenomenon, the Milky Road is an artificial river built through the Sea Clouds. The river only existed in the White Sea or Sky Island because it matched the atmosphere there

Milky Road can be passed by ships like an ordinary river. In addition, there are two Milky Roads in Skypiea. The first Milky Road is connected to Heaven's Gate, aka the entrance to Skypiea, while the second flows through the Upper Yard.

5. Aqua Laguna

Aqua Laguna is a tidal wave that occurs every year in Water 7. The wave is very high like a tsunami. Even though the waves were terrifying, the residents of Water 7 were used to this phenomenon.

During the occurrence of Aqua Laguna, the sea around Water 7 was practically raging and out of control. This makes the ship unable to sail in the ocean. The only transportation that can penetrate Aqua Laguna is the Puffing Tom sea train.

6. Florian Triangle

After leaving Water 7, sailors who want to go to Fish-Man Island must pass through a mysterious sea called the Florian Triangle. The ocean is inspired by the legend of the Bermuda Triangle in the real world.

The Florian Triangle is always filled with a very thick fog. That is what adds to the impression of horror on the ocean. That said, rumors circulating say that there are many ships that mysteriously disappeared in the ocean.

7. Tarai Current

Tarai Current has a very important role in connecting the three major World Government facilities on the Grand Line, namely Enies Lobby, Impel Down, and Marineford. Because of that, the current can only be passed by those affiliated with the World Government.

If any ships wish to head to the facility, they must obtain permission to open the Gates of Justice. When the gate is open, the current changes to normal so that the ship can sail easily.

8. Sea Snake Currents

Sea Snake Currents are often found around the Florian Triangle and Red Line areas. Even though the current is not as strong as the Knock Up Stream, it is still dangerous and should be watched out for by sailors.

As the currents began to emerge, the suddenly bright sea slowly darkened and was accompanied by a storm. After that, several snake currents will appear and rampage around the ocean with movements that are quite difficult to predict.

9. White Strom

After leaving Fish-Man Island, Luffy and his friends had to sail back under the sea to get to the surface. However, their journey did not go smoothly because they had to deal with White Strom.

The current is very strong and dangerous. If a ship becomes caught in the current, it is said to be found several days later without a crew. Even though they were trapped, Luffy and his friends managed to survive thanks to the help of a whale that looked like Laboon.

10. Climbing-Koi Waterfall

In closing, there is the unique Climbing-Koi Waterfall phenomenon that only occurs in Wano. This waterfall is one of the entrances to Wano Island. In addition, the waterfall can be climbed by a koi fish.

Sailors who want to enter Wano can use the power of the koi fish to pull their ship. Even though they have reached the top of the plunge, sailors still have to deal with strong eddies of water.
