Kamen Rider Blade is a series of Kamen Rider that aired in Japan from 2004 to 2005. This series tells the story of Kenzaki Kanzuma as Kamen Rider Blade against monsters called Undead. What's unique about these monsters is that they can't die and can only be sealed. Because of that, a company called BOARD developed a rider system to seal the Undead.
So, this time I want to share a list of riders who appear in the Blade series, both in the original series and in the movie. Come on, let's discuss it together.
1. Kamen Rider Blade
Kenzaki Kazuma is a person who becomes a Blade rider and originally works for BOARD, an organization that researches the Undead. He is a very kind hearted person and always wants to save everyone. This is caused by past trauma because he was unable to save his parents during an accident.
To transform into Kamen Rider Blade, Kenzaki uses the Blay Buckle and Change Beetle Rouse Card. This transformation allows the user to merge with the DNA of the Undead Beetle. Because of that, Kenzaki can fight freely and use the power of the Undead sealed in the card. Apart from that, Kamen Rider Blade also has several transformation upgrades, namely Jack Form and King Form.
In this story, Kenzaki has very strong sympathy for Hajime Aikawa, who has a real identity as the Joker. Even though Hajime as Joker has the potential to destroy the world, he has the will to live as a human. That's what made Kenzaki choose to save Hajime and let himself turn into the Joker in the final fight so he could save the world without having to destroy the Joker.
2. Kamen Rider Garren
The next rider to appear in Blade's story is Kamen Rider Garren. The original character of this Kamen Rider is a man named Sakuya Tachibana who is the second person from BOARD who uses the Rider System to replace his senior named Kiryu. He can also be said to be Kenzaki's mentor. Unfortunately, Tachibana had become an enemy of BOARD because he felt betrayed by the chairman of the BOARD. Apart from that, he also thinks that the rider system damages his body, even though it is fear that damages his body.
To transform into Kamen Rider Garren, Tachibana uses Garren Buckle and Change Stag Rouze Card. Compared to other Ace category riders, Garren's form is the weakest form. However, Garren has an advantage because he can fight from a distance using his gun. This allows Garren to avoid close combat or direct attacks. Apart from that, Garren's abilities were also very great because basically Tachibana was a trained rider. He also has an upgraded form, namely Jack Form.
3. Kamen Rider Chalice
Next, there is Hajime Aikawa or Joker who can transform into Kamen Rider Chalice. Joker assumes the form of a Human Undead and becomes the figure of Hajime. He lives with the Amane family because he feels guilty for killing Amane's father during his fight in the snow mountains.
Unlike the other riders, Hajime transforms into Chalice using Chalice Rouzer by scanning the Change Mantis Undead Rouze Card. This transformation technique is different from the rider from BOARD because only the Joker can use it. Uniquely, the Joker is also able to change form into another Undead form with the same mechanism.
In fighting, Chalice uses weapons in the form of arrows. In addition, his fighting style is also quite brutal. The power of Chalice itself has a special effect that can suppress the wild side of the Joker who is crazy about fighting. Even though he is an enemy at first, Joker is finally able to get along with humans thanks to Kenzaki's persistence in wanting to save him.
4. Kamen Rider Leangle
The next Rider is Kamen Rider Leangle. The person who becomes this kamen rider is a high school boy named Mutsuki Kamijo who was chosen by the Spider Undead category Ace to use his powers. Unfortunately, the evil will of the Spider Undead actually made Mutsuki become an antagonist rider who often sparked fights with the others. In addition, her former friendly and shy nature becomes bitchy and less able to empathize with other people.
Kamen Rider Leangle is said to be the strongest rider in this story, despite the fact that it again depends on the determination and strength of the user. Leangle's belt is also quite special because it was made by the leader of the BOARD on orders from Isaka, a Peacock Undead Category Jack. In fighting, Leangle uses a stick. One of his most troublesome techniques is the Remote technique which is able to free Undead's card seals.
5. Kamen Rider Glaive
Next, there is Junichi Shimura who can transform into Kamen Rider Glaive. In addition, the real identity of this figure is Albino Joker. This character only appears in the film Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace. It is said that Junichi joined the BOARD organization which is now led by Sakuya Tachibana.
Junichi takes on the role of Kamen Rider Glaive using the Glaive Rouzer. Junichi's figure as the Albino Joker finally came out after the fight between Kenzaki and Hajime ended. He plans to unseal all the Undead that Kei Karasuma has brought with him. Apart from that, he also plans to master the powers of Jashin 14 using the Vanity Card.
6. Kamen Rider Lance
Kamen rider Lance is also a rider of the same generation as Kamen Rider Glaive and Larc. The figure behind this Kamen Rider is a man named Shin Migaki. He was also offered by Junichi to turn into a Kamen Rider whose strength is needed again.
In the movie Blade, he replaces the figure of Kamen Rider Leangle and fights using Lance Rouzer's weapon, which is a large spear. Kamen Rider Lance has a finishing attack called Impact Stab which is used to slash his enemies with full power.
7. Kamen Rider Larc
Natsumi Miwa is Kamen Rider Larc who appears in the film Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace. She is a member of the BOARD company and is also part of Ace Riders.
Natsumi fights together with Shin Magaki and Junichi Shimura to catch the Albino Joker. Kamen Rider Larc has a bow weapon to fight the Undead. However, she ended up being killed by an Albino Undead when a King-category Undead was sealed.
