Isekai Shokudou is an interesting anime by Silver Link that combines culinary and isekai elements. The anime is adapted from the light novel series by Junpei Inuzuka and illustrated by Katsumi Enami.
The anime focuses on a restaurant called Nekoya which serves a variety of delicious dishes. However, there is one interesting thing about this restaurant. On Saturdays, the restaurant is visited by citizens from other worlds.
1. Owner
The main owner of the Nekoya restaurant is usually called Owner or Master. He looked like a mature man in his thirties. He has a friendly nature and always prioritizes customer satisfaction.
The owner has great cooking skills. He always provides any menu according to customer requests. The food also makes people from isekai addicted and become regulars at the restaurant.
2. Aletta
Aletta is a demon girl who comes from the Demon Kingdom. She experienced terrible discrimination because of her status as a demon. That's what made it difficult for her to get a job.
Aletta then finds a portal that leads to the Nekoya restaurant. She was then offered to work as a waiter at the restaurant. She has a strong desire to learn and is fully dedicated to her work.
3. Kuro
Kuro is one of the legendary Ancient Six in another world. She has the power to bring death wherever she goes. In order to protect the lives of innocent people, she finally isolated herself on the moon.
When she found the portal to Nekoya, Kuro felt quite unfamiliar with this nuance. She was then offered to eat chicken curry which then became her favorite food. At the suggestion of Aka no Jou, she then became a waiter at the restaurant.
4. Aka no Jou
Aka no Jou is a red dragon and a member of the Ancient Six. She has an aggressive appearance. If Kuro lives on the moon, Aka no Jou lives in a location filled with magma.
In order to avoid conflict, Aka no Jou always comes to Nekoya after the other visitors have gone home. She always ordered her favorite beef stew. Apart from that, she usually carries a large pot.
5. Sarah Gold
Sarah Gold is a descendant of the legendary treasure hunter William Gold. She has an obsession with adventure and treasure hunting. In her family, this habit is considered a curse.
According to William's explanation, Sarah Gold found a portal to Nekoya in an abandoned mine. After the first visit, she always stopped by the place. Her favorite food is mince meat cutlet.
6. Adelheid
Unlike Sarah Gold, Adelheid is an imperial princess in the Eastern Continent. She has a very innocent nature and beautiful appearance. Unfortunately, she suffers from a disease whose symptoms are similar to asthma.
When she was little, her grandfather once took him to the Nekoya restaurant. Even though it was vague, she still remembered sweet memories with her grandfather at that restaurant. Her favorite menu is chocolate parfait.
7. Victoria Samanark
Victoria Samanark is a half-elf and a talented witch. She has difficulty living a normal life in society. Because of that, she chose to isolate herself.
Victoria has the abilities of a witch and likes doing research. She later became a pupil of Altorius. Like other visitors, she has a favorite menu that she likes. It is Pudding a la Mode.
8. Fardania
Unlike Victoria, Fardania is a genuine elf who lives in an elf settlement in the forest. When she was looking for ingredients for dinner, she accidentally found a portal to Nekoya.
Fardania is a vegan so she is very picky about food. She also asked for a specific menu that did not contain meat. With his creativity, the Owner cooks a very delicious tofu steak.
9. Gaganpo
Nekoya's next customer is a Lizardman named Gaganpo. In his hometown, he was considered a knight glorified by his countrymen. He also had the honor of visiting the portal to Nekoya.
Gaganpo always orders omlet rice from the owner. He usually eats on the spot and then orders several portions to take home. He then shared the food to enjoy with his friends.
10. Lionel
Lionel is a lion demon and a very tough brave soldier. After he was defeated by Alexander, he was captured and forced to become a gladiator risking his life in the arena.
Even though he had suffered, his spirit rose again after he found the portal to Nekoya. Because he had a big appetite, he always ordered several bowls of rice with pork on top.
11. Heinrich Seelemann
Next, there was a nobleman named Heinrich Seelemann. He first came to visit Nekoya when he was on an important mission. There, he ordered food to overcome his hunger.
Because Heinrich had no money to pay, he pawned his sword as collateral. He had lost his way to Nekoya, but he managed to find it thanks to Tatsugoro's help. His favorite food is fried shrimp.
12. Altorius
Altorius is an old wizard who holds the status of a hero in the Eastern Continent. He and his colleagues defeated the Demon God. Additionally, he is Victoria's mentor.
Altorius is one of the senior visitors at the Nekoya restaurant. He is responsible for translating Nekoya's menus into the languages of his world. He really likes pork food.
13. Alphonse Flugel
Next, there is a navy admiral named Alphonse Flügel. In the past, his ship was attacked by the Kraken so he was trapped on an island alone for twenty years.
On the island, Flügel finds the entrance to the Nekoya restaurant. He really likes the owner's curry rice menu. After being rescued from the island, he managed to find an alternative portal that led to Nekoya.
14. Tiana Silvario
Tiana Silvario is a fairy queen who lives in a flowering garden. After Nekoya's door appeared in her territory, she and the other fairies felt very curious. They also visited the restaurant together.
Tiana has a very beautiful, graceful appearance and has butterfly wings. She and the other fairies usually eat fruit crepes. The sweet taste of the food makes them regular customers at Nekoya.
15. Alexander
To conclude, there is an elf warrior named Alexander who is very skilled at using a sword. Just like Altorius, he is one of the four legendary heroes. After the Demon God's defeat, he worked as a mercenary.
Alexander had asked Altorius for help to guide him to Nekoya. He was very curious about the food in that place. There, he tried to enjoy his son's favorite food.
