Ojou to Banken-kun is a romantic comedy anime adapted from the manga series by Hatsuharu. This anime tells the story of the relationship between a yakuza granddaughter named Isaku Seganaki and her personal bodyguard, Keiya Utou.
After her parents died, young Isaku lived with her grandfather. There, she is cared for by Utou who acts as a parent and friend to Isaku. When Isaku became a teenager, their relationship began to turn romantic.

1. Isaku Seganaki
Isaku Seganaki is a girl who doesn't have many friends because of her background as a yakuza granddaughter. This also makes her less confident and difficult to socialize with other people.
Isaku deliberately chose a high school that is far from her home so she could make new friends. Even though she is nervous when interacting, she is able to blend in well in her class. She also often hangs out with her close friends, such as Andou and Katsuki.
In the story, Isaku harbors feelings of love for Keiya. However, she needed time to express her feelings because their relationship was quite complex. She often felt that Keiya treated her like a child.
2. Keiya Utou
Keiya Utou is a yakuza who has a handsome face and is popular among girls. He is very protective of Isaku to the point where he doesn't let Isaku get close to other guys.
Keiya is so protective that he disguises himself as a high school student so he can always keep an eye on Isaku. Because the two of them are very close, their friends often think that the two of them are dating.
Keiya actually also has an interest in Isaku who grows up to be a beautiful girl. He also likes to tease Isaku with flirty flirtations. However, he is not very sensitive to Isaku's true feelings.
3. Mikio Tanuki
Mikio Tanuki is the grandson of Isaku's grandfather. He was so naughty and unruly that his parents could no longer care for him. For that reason, he was then raised by his grandfather.
Mikio often gets into fights on the street to vent his boredom. He also felt interested in Isaku and Utou's relationship. He then decided to transfer to both of their schools.
4. Kaori Sekiya
Next, there is a beautiful woman named Kaori Sekiya who works at a nightclub. She is very familiar with Utou. Even so, their relationship did not reach the dating stage.
Kaori seems to have feelings for Utou. However, her love was not reciprocated because Utou was too obsessed with Isaku. She openly said to Isaku that she supported their relationship.
5. Andou
Andou is one of Isaku's best friends in high school. She has a short hair style and quite a tomboyish appearance. However, she likes to be enthusiastic when discussing romantic matters.
Andou also tries to get Isaku to date Utou. She had planned that Isaku and Utou could appear as Romeo and Juliet in a drama performance. She acted as director in the stage.
6. Katsuki
Just like Andou, Katsuki is also good friends with Isaku. She has a friendly and very kind nature. She also asked about the continuation of the relationship between Isaku and Utou because she was curious.
Katsuki and Andou often invite Isaku to hang out in their free time, such as watching movies at home or going on trips to the city. What is clear is that she is a friend that Isaku can rely on.
