7 Best Hody Jones Techniques in One Piece

Hody Jones was the main enemy that Luffy has to fight in Fishman Island arc. He has a very strong hatred towards humans. Apart from that, he will also attack fish people who sympathize with humans.

As a Fishman, Hody has physical abilities above the average human. His strength increased many times after he consumed the Energy Steroid that made he looked like a monster.

In fighting, Hody also mastered the martial arts Gyojin Karate and Gyojin Jujutsu. He has several interesting mainstay moves.

What are they? Check out the complete discussion below!

1. Soshark

Soshark is Hody's technique which is similar to a shark bite. He first demonstrated this move when he was at the Ryugu Royal Palace.

With a strong grip of his hands, Hody was able to destroy large stone walls with ease. The effect of his attack was that water from outside immediately came in and flooded Ryugu Palace.

Not only Hody, Jinbe also seemed to have mastered this move when he fought against Who's Who at Wano.

2. Yabusame

Hody's next technique is Yabusame. When performing this move, Hody needs to wet his hands first with some water. With his massive strength, he threw the water droplets towards the target.

These water droplets are able to travel very fast like deadly arrows. This technique is very similar to the water bullets that Arlong used to attack Zoro and Sanji.

3. Uchimizu

Uchimizu can be said to be the basic technique of Yabusame. Hody only shot one drop of water like a bullet at the enemy in front of him. His attack power becomes more destructive when Hody eats Energy Steroids.

These water bullets not only penetrate the enemy's body, but the bullets are able to travel so far that they penetrate the rock structures in their path. Hody first used this move to attack one of Neptune's soldiers.

4. Umidaiko

Next, there is an interesting technique called Umidaiko. This technique allows Hody to hit the water in front of him and send a powerful shockwave towards the opponent.

The shock wave is capable of causing severe damage, leaving scars on the opponent's body. Hody used this move to attack Shirahoshi's brother, Manboshi.

5. Kirisame

Different from the previous moves, Kirisame is a unique sword that is shaped like a shark's dorsal fin. Hody usually uses this weapon when he fights underwater.

Hody will attack the enemy aggressively at full speed. This attack is capable of delivering quite a fatal slash if the enemy fails to avoid it. Luffy was also overwhelmed because his position was at a disadvantage at that time.

6. Mizugokoro

Mizugokoro is one of the techniques of Gyojin Jujutsu. This technique allows a fishman to hold water like a solid cloth. The water can be manipulated according to the user's wishes.

In Jinbe's case, he usually uses this move as a starting point to create a very strong whirlpool. However, Hody has different attack variations. He uses this move as the basis of his ultimate move called Murasame.

7. Murasame

Murasame was shown by Hody when he was at the peak of his battle against Luffy. Through this move, he was able to throw water in the form of a very fierce and sharp-toothed shark.

Hody can create many sharks at once and direct them at the opponent continuously without pause. This attack proved to be strong enough to match Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gun.
