Bleach is a manga and anime that tells about the journey of Kurosaki Ichigo as a Substitute Shinigami who is tasked with fighting Hollows. On his way, he goes through various kinds of battles and meets enemies who are usually stronger than him.

10. Grand Fisher
Grand Fisher is a Hollow who is responsible for his mother's death. He is said to have avoided Shinigami for 54 years and is very cunning and deceitful. In addition, Grand Fisher is one of the strongest Hollows Ichigo has ever fought when he first became a Shinigami.
While fighting Ichigo, this Hollow uses a cunning trick by tricking Ichigo into weakening his defenses. After going through a fierce battle with Grand Fisher, this Hollow was defeated and he then transformed into an imperfect Arrancar.
9. Kugo Ginjo
Kugo Ginjo is a leader and member with code 001 of an organization called Xcution. He is a Fullbringer as well as a former Substitute Shinigami like Ichigo. He is very cunning, arrogant, and manipulative.
Not only that, Ginjo is very strong as a Fullbringer. He has a Fullbring called Cross of Scaffold which allows Ginjo to turn his necklace into a long sword. Because he was once a Shinigami, Ginjo is very skilled in using the sword and he is also able to release large amounts of spiritual energy and is able to make Ichigo difficult in battle.
8. Renji Abarai
Renji Abarai is Rukia's best friend as well as the vice-captain of the 6th division under Byakuya's orders. He is a very tough fighter and hates defeat. In addition, he has a flexible personality depending on the situation and conditions.
At the beginning of the story, Renji is one of the shinigami who had fought with Ichigo. Their fight was not just a common fight because there was a personal matter between them. It was related to Rukia's execution. The battle was going so fiercely with the final result that can be said to be balanced. Despite having clashed swords in battle, Renji later becomes Ichigo's best friend and rival.

7. Gin Ichimaru
This mysterious man is a former captain of the 3rd division in Gotei 13. Gin was initially considered a traitor for siding with Aizen. However, Gin has his own plans to stop Aizen's crazy actions which are a threat to Soul Society.
One of the advantages of Gin over other characters is that he has above average speed. In the fight against Aizen, Gin was involved in a fight with Ichigo. With his Zanpakutou that can extend very quickly, Gin is able to overwhelm Ichigo and force him to use his Hollow powers.
6. Kenpachi Zaraki
The 11th division captain is a very brutal Shinigami and is well known for being very crazy about fighting. It stores enormous spiritual energy and is capable of intimidating opponents. Uniquely, Kenpachi has a nameless Zanpakutou that he always uses in battle. However, it does not make him look weak compared to the other captains.
While infiltrating Soul Society to save Rukia, Ichigo encounters Zaraki's powers. Back then, he had almost no chance of winning the battle as Zaraki's level was above Ichigo's. However, after getting support from Zangetsu, Ichigo's strength increases again and he is able to defeat Kenpachi.
5. Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez
Espada with serial number 6 is one of the best enemies ever faced by Ichigo. Grimmjow is known to have a savage and arrogant nature. Not only that, he also really likes fighting. He is very obsessed with Ichigo and considers him a worthy opponent for him to beat.
Grimmjow's fight against Ichigo takes place three times. At the beginning of their meeting, Ichigo's strength was still below Grimmjow's and he was defeated easily. Ichigo's strength increases in their second fight because he has succeeded in mastering the power of a Hollow. Their fight reached a climax in the third round which showed the persistence of both of them to beat each other.

4. Ywach
This Quincy King is the strongest being in the Bleach story who becomes the last enemy that Ichigo and the other Shinigami must defeat. He led an army of Quincy to take revenge against Soul Society in the Thousand Blood War Arc.
This character has an overpowering power and is the only character capable of killing Yamamoto, the leader of the captains of the Gotei 13. In his fight against Ichigo, he thought he had destroyed Ichigo's weapon. However, Ichigo suddenly takes out a weapon similar to Zangetsu and deals the final blow to Ywach.
3. Sosuke Aizen
Aizen is one of the main villains in the story. He initially served as the captain of the Gotei 5th division and pretended to be a kind-hearted character. However, he is basically a rotten character who plots a sinister and self-serving agenda and betrays the trust of those in Soul Society.
He later became the leader of the Espada and proved his immense abilities. He has a Zanpakuto that is able to manipulate the five senses of his opponent. To defeat the former Gotei captain on this one, Ichigo even had to maximize his strength to the peak stage until he had to lose the power to become a Shinigami.
2. Byakuya Kuchiki
The captain of the sixth division as well as the leader of the Kuchiki clan is a very talented shinigami and has terrible power. He was a man who highly respected the rules and had the respectable demeanor of a noble. Not only that, he always looks calm in various situations.
This shinigami captain is a very difficult opponent to beat Ichigo when he infiltrated Soul Society. Byakuya has great fighting techniques and had time to destroy Ichigo's Zanpakuto to inflict severe injuries on Ichigo's body. Byakuya's abilities become even more terrifying when he uses his Bankai. The fight between Ichigo and Byakuya ended in a draw and he was trusted by Byakuya to save Rukia.
1. Ulquiorra Cifer
Maybe many do not agree with this, but in my personal opinion Ulquorra is the best opponent Ichigo has ever faced in his journey as a shinigami. Ulquiorra is a member of the Espada with serial number 4 who has a mysterious attitude and looks quiet compared to the other Espada.
Not only that, Ulquiorra also has a very deadly fighting ability and he had made Ichigo lay helpless. Fortunately, Ichigo is saved by Inoue's powerful healing abilities. After Ichigo recovers, he returns to fight Ulquiorra in a very fierce final battle.
In that fight, Ichigo's Hollow power went out of control and was able to corner Ulquiorra. What is clear is that their fight was very exciting and arguably the best compared to Ichigo's other fights.
