Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL is the third spin-off of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s series which focuses on duel combat involving multiple worlds or dimensions. In addition, this series presents an interesting xyz monster and special cards called Number.

10. Dr. Faker
Dr. Faker is one of the main enemies that appears in the story of Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL. He is the father of Kite Tenjo and Hart Tenjo. In addition, he was obsessed with destroying the Astral World so he could cure his son's illness.
In order to achieve his ambition, Dr. Faker gives Kite a mission to collect Number cards. In duels, he uses the Garbage/Heart-eartH Deck with a tactical focus on high-level Xyz-Summon tactics along with Trap cards.
9. Mizar
Unlike Dr. Faker, Mizar collects Number cards to save the Barian World. He is known as the Barian Emperor who was highly skilled in dueling. In addition, he has an arrogant nature.
Mizar uses a deck that focuses on strengthening his trump card, Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon. He has a very fierce rivalry with Kite Tenjo because they both use the Galaxy-Eyes monster.
8. Vetrix
Despite his childlike appearance, Vetrix is a father of three childrens. He had been a colleague of Dr. Fakers in the past. After being betrayed by Dr. Faker, he was obsessed with revenge.
Vetrix uses the Heraldic Deck in a duel. He uses cards that focus on controlling powerful monsters, such as the Heraldic Beast and Heraldry Reborn. That way, he was able to summon his Monster Number with ease.
7. Kite Tenjo
As mentioned earlier, Kite Tenjo is the son of Dr. Faker who is in charge of collecting Number cards. Even though he had clashes with Yuma, he eventually became a valuable partner to Yuma.
In the duel, Kite Tenjo uses the Photon Deck which contains powerful monsters with the light attribute and focuses on summoning his Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. The deck is the result of his creation with Dr. Faker by leveraging science from another dimension.
6. Eliphas
Eliphas could be said to be the will of the Astral World. He has great influence and power. Moreover, he knows no mercy towards anyone who poses a threat to the Astral World.
Eliphas is a very skilled duelist and is difficult to deal with. He used a New Order/Etheric Deck focused on increasing his monster rank. In addition, he has several powerful cards, such as Rank Domination.
5. Number 96
Number 96 is a solid form of Number 96: Dark Mist. He managed to get that form after he possessed someone's body. He has ambitions to become the strongest by gathering the power of all the Numbers.
In addition, Number 96 has great skills as a duelist. He uses the Malecivorous/Chaos Deck to duel. He usually relies on Mythyrian "Number" plus support cards, such as Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force, Number C, and Chaos Field.
4. Victor
Just like Mizar, Victor is the Emperor of the Barian World. He had manipulated Dr. Faker and Vetrix to destroy the Astral World in order to achieve his ambition. Because of that, he is very cunning as well as clever in devising tactics.
Victor uses several types of Decks in duels, such as Shining, Umbral Horror, and Gorgonic. He is able to deceive the enemy by hiding his true strength. In addition, he is very good at using traps and the right strategy in duels.
3. Reginald Kastle/Nash
Regineld Kastle aka Shark is Yuma's best friend and rival. Unexpectedly, his true identity was the leader of the seven Barian Emperors named Nash. For the sake of saving Barian, he didn't hesitate to betray Yuma.
In monster duels, Shark makes use of the Xyz Water Deck which contains monster cards based on aquatic creatures, specifically various species of sharks. He has some strong Number cards, such as Number C32: Shark Drake Veiss and Number 73: Abyss Splash.
2. Don Thousand
Don Thousand is the main enemy who poses a threat to many parties. He is known as the Barian God who has the ambition to conquer the universe. In order to realize the agenda, he controlled the Barian Emperors under his influence.
As a duelist, Don Thousand was very difficult to deal with. He used the Numeron Deck which contained powerful monsters, such as the Numeron Gate. In addition, he is able to control the movement of his opponent during the duel.
1. Yuma Tsukumo
As the main protagonist in the story, Yuma Tsukumo has an important role in saving the world through monster duels. His journey as a duelist began when he met an alien named Astral who was affected by amnesia.
After meeting Astral, Yuma has a mission to collect 100 XYZ monster cards so he can restore the lost fragments of Astral's memories. However, it was not easy because he had to face many enemies.
In the story, Yuma experiences dynamic character development. He grew stronger as time went on. He uses the Xyz One Turn Kill tactic that relies on powerful Xyz monsters, such as Number 39: Utopia and Number 17: Leviathan Dragon.
