Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman is an interesting romantic comedy anime that was released in 2022. This anime, which is adapted from the manga by Yūki Kanamaru, has a very unique story concept.
The anime focuses on the relationship of two teenagers named Jirou Yakuin and Akari Watanabe. The two of them were forced to pretend to be husband and wife because they had to follow marriage practices according to the school curriculum.
The two initially had no match for each other. However, they must try their best so that they can pass the practice. As time went by, the two of them became carried away until their relationship became very close.
1. Akari Watanabe
Akari Watanabe is a gyaru girl who is very cute, fashionable, and popular at her school. Even though she seems naughty, she turns out to have a kind and very caring nature.
At first, Akari had reservations about pairing up with Jirou. She would be happier if she could be with Tenjin, who has been her crush all this time. Even so, she still tries to be a good wife to Jirou so that they can get good grades.
Without realizing it, Akari's feelings for Jirou begin to change little by little. She often relies on Jirou when he is upset or needs support. She was very happy when she got more attention from Jirou.
2. Jirou Yakuin
Jirou Yakuin is a gloomy guy who doesn't have much experience with girls. He also prefers playing games and spending time with his best friend, Sadaharu Kamo. Because of this, he felt awkward when he underwent the marriage practice program with Akari.
Jirou often acts nervous and lacks confidence when in front of Akari. He originally hoped that his partner would be Shiori because they had been close friends for a long time. Even so, he still tries to be a good husband to Akari.
They both work hard to get straight A's in the hope that they can switch partners. However, this wish was ultimately abandoned. Jirou and Akari still choose to undergo the practice of marriage together.
3. Shiori Sakurazaka
Next, there is a sweet girl named Shiori Sakurazaka who becomes Jirou's idol. She has a gentle, polite and kind nature. Apart from that, she is not very experienced in matters of love.
During the marriage practice, Shiori is paired with Tenjin. Their relationship was going badly at first until they got an E. However, they improved it slowly until they looked like a great couple.
Shiori actually really likes Jirou. However, she is afraid to express her feelings honestly to Jirou. Thanks to encouragement from her best friend, she tries to be braver in approaching Jirou and making her sensitive to her feelings.
4. Sadaharu Kamo
Next, there is Jirou's good friend named Sadaharu Kamo. He has a silly and humorous nature. Even so, he is a supportive friend and always supports his friends when there are problems.
Just like Jirou, Sadaharu really likes playing games. The difference is, he prefers to play modern games. He has an absurd side because he is very obsessed with 2D characters rather than girls in the real world.
5. Minami Tenjin
Minami Tenjin is a handsome guy who is very popular at his school. He also has a humble, polite and hardworking nature. Outside of school, he took a part-time job at a cafe.
In the story, Minami finally realizes Akari's feelings for him. He rejects Akari's feelings gently because he already likes someone else. He also fully supports Akari's relationship with Jirou.
6. Mei Hamano
Mei Hamano is Shiori's best friend who has a tomboy appearance. She has excellence in sports. Besides that, she is also very popular among the girls at her school.
Mei always provides valuable support and advice to Shiori in pursuing Jirou. She sometimes joins in making plans so Shiori can spend time with Jirou. When Shiori is upset, Mei can be the right place for her to vent.
7. Sachi Takamiya
Sachi Takamiya is one of Akari's good friends who has a fashionable appearance. Even though she looks fierce, she has a good nature and is loyal to her friends. She also likes to give good advice to Akari.
8. Natsumi Oohashi
Just like Sachi, Natsumi is also Akari's best friend and usually hangs out together. She likes to look cheerful and tends to act childish. Despite this, she is able to be a supportive friend to Akari.
9. Shuu Terafune
Lastly, there is Minami's friend named Shuu Terafune. He has liked Akari for a long time so he feels jealous of Jirou and Akari's closeness. Apart from that, he has the determination to snatch Akari from Jirou.
