All Mecha in Chouseishin Gransazer, Explained

For those of you who used to watch Gransazer, you're probably familiar with the robots or mecha known as Chouseishin. These robots are one of Gransazer's primary weapons for eradicating giant enemies or aliens that threaten Earth's safety.

In addition to the main robots owned by the Sazers, several other robots appear and decorate the storyline of this tokusatsu series. In this regard, we want to review all mecha featured in Gransazer. Let's take a look below!

1. Chouseishin Garuda

The Fire Tribe's Chouseishin is the second mecha to awaken in the story. It has been dormant for a long time within Mount Houhou. In its live form, Garuda has the form of a phoenix and wields fire-coated shots.

In warrior form, Garuda fights using the claws on the back of its fists. Additionally, Garuda wields a sword called the Burning Saber. Chouseishin's final attack is the Firebird Slash, a powerful flaming slash.

2. Chouseishin Dolcross

Dolcross is the first Chouseishin to awaken in the story, and this mecha lies dormant within Mount Kabuto. While in live mode, it resembles a rhinoceros beetle and is equipped with various cannons that can be used to destroy targets.

When transformed into warrior mode, Dolcross's strength still focuses on his cannons and explosives, but his attacks are more varied. This Chouseishin has a finishing attack called Hercules Hurricane, which he uses to end battles.

3. Chouseishin Guncaesar

Next, there's Earth Tribe's Guncaesar. The Chouseishin lies dormant in the Sishioh Desert and awakens some time after the awakening of Garuda and Dolcross. In live mode, Guncaesar resembles a tiger with sharp claws and is equipped with a cannon on its back.

Guncaesar's power increases when transformed into warrior mode. His cannon, called Liger Riots, is extremely powerful and has the potential to explode enemies. With this weapon, Guncaesar can unleash his finishing attack, Gravity Burst.

4. Chouseishin Leviathan

Leviathan is the Water Tribe's Chouseishin to awaken in Gransazer. This mecha has been dormant for a long time on Shinkujira Island, coinciding with the arrival of Impactor to Earth. Leviathan resembles a whale in its live mode and attacks opponents directly with its body.

In warrior mode, Leviathan is armed with Maelstrom Blades, which can be used to launch a finishing attack called High Tide Break. Furthermore, Leviathan also uses the Ocean Shield for defense and to unleash the Mirage Shield technique.

5. Chouseishin Guntras

This mecha is quite unique because it operates alone. Guntras can only be controlled by advanced AI and is superior in strength to the previous four Chouseishin. Guntras has long been hidden in the Andes and is referred to as the Great Shadow in Peruvian legend.

Guntras awakens after its Guncontroller is repaired and is briefly used by a Logia to carry out its evil plan to destroy the Earth. However, Tenma managed to obtain the Guncontroller, making Guntras a valuable ally for the Gransazers.

Guntras's power is immense, as it's equipped with a variety of advanced and deadly weapons, including laser batteries, a cannon in its head, and a missile launcher inside its body. Furthermore, Guntras possesses a devastating attack called Twin Crusher.

6. ChouSeiJuuren Cloud Dragon

In the story, ChouSeiJuuren Cloud Dragon plays a more supportive role for the Sazers. These Chouseishin are remnants of an ancient civilization that lived within the ozone layer to protect Earth from alien invaders.

Cloud Dragon will only appear when the Sazers summon it in battle. Cloud Dragon's power is not to be underestimated, as this robot possesses a super-powerful attack called the Galactica Prominence Cannon, capable of shattering asteroids into tiny pieces.

7. Fusion Beast-King DaiSazer

DaiSazer is arguably the strongest weapon possessed by the Gransazers. This mecha is a combination of four Chouseishin (Garuda, Dolcross, Guncaesar, and Leviathan) plus Guntras.

DaiSazer's power is quite aggressive, requiring all four pilots to focus and work together to control Daisazer. This Chouseishin is extremely deadly because Daisazer is armed with deflectors and a series of lasers on its body. Not only that, Daisazer can deliver incredibly powerful, raw attacks when facing its enemies.

8. DaiLogian

While the previous mecha belonged to Gransazer, DaiLogian is a special weapon owned by Logia, one of the most dangerous Impactors. Because he cannot transform into a giant, Logia uses this mecha to counter Gransazer's Chouseishin.

DaiLogian has a wolf-like motif and its power is said to be almost on par with DaiSazer. This robot is always on standby in space, and only Logia can summon it. DaiLogian has the ability to absorb laser beams into its chest and return the attack to its opponent.

Although it was a deadly opponent, DaiLogian was ultimately defeated by Tenma in its second battle against Logia. This robot was then taken over by the JSDF (Japan Self-Defense Force) for research.

9. Yuuhi

Finally, to conclude, there's the Type-05 GS Assist Robot Yuuhi, developed by the JSDF based on Logia's mecha. Yuuhi's purpose was to aid the Gransazers in their fight against the evil forces that wanted to destroy the Earth.

Yuuhi was remotely controlled using voice commands and launched from an underground bunker. This robot had access to a variety of weapons, including dual 120mm cannons and a powerful missile launcher. Unfortunately, Yuuhi was shattered into pieces in the battle against Troious.
