Besides focusing on battles against evil monsters, the story of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue is fundamentally tied to rescue operations. The Rangers are supported by Zords equipped with tools or features that are very useful in their operations.
In the story, there are many interesting Zords inspired by various vehicles or means of transportation, especially those useful for rescuing people from danger.
Below, we will discuss about all Zords in Lightspeed Rescue.
1. Pyro Rescue 1
Pyro Rescue 1 is a fire truck Zord piloted by Carter Grayson/Red Ranger. This Zord is equipped with a ladder that is very useful in rescue operations. Furthermore, this Zord is equipped with stabilizers on the front and rear.
When the Megazords are combined, Pyro Rescue 1 serves to form the upper body and both arms of the Lightspeed Megazord.
2. Aqua Rescue 2
The next Zord is Aqua Rescue 2, owned by Chad Lee/Blue Ranger. This water truck-shaped Zord is equipped with a water sprayer that can be used to extinguish fires.
When forming the Lightspeed Megazord, Aqua Rescue 2 forms the hips and upper legs of the Megazord.
3. Airo Rescue 3
Unlike the previous two Zords, Airo Rescue 3 excels in aerial rescue operations. This Zord's pilot is Joel Rawlings, aka the Green Ranger. This Zord is also equipped with a water sprayer and a magnetic hook strong enough to lift other Zords.
When combined, Airo Rescue 3 forms the head and upper back of the Lightspeed Megazord.
4. Haz Rescue 4
Haz Rescue 4 is a hazmat truck-like Zord piloted by Kelsey Winslow, aka the Yellow Ranger. This Zord is equipped with a claw-like device that can lift objects and serves as a weapon.
When forming the Lightspeed Megazord, Haz Rescue 4 serves as the lower left leg of the Megazord.
5. Med Rescue 5
Med Rescue 5 is Dana Mitchell's Zord, resembling an ambulance. This Zord is capable of transporting civilian vehicles and rescuing them from dangerous battlefields.
In the Lightspeed Megazord formation, Med Rescue 5 serves as the lower part of the Megazord's right leg.
6. Rail Rescue 1
Rail Rescue is essentially a transport Zord. Additionally, Rail Rescue can combine to form a new Megazord called the Supertrain Megazord.
Rail Rescue 1 is Carter/Red Ranger's second Zord, serving as the transport for Pyro Rescue 1. This Zord is approximately 49.3 meters long and weighs 2,700 tons.
Rail Rescue 1 serves as the right arm of the Supertrain Megazord. Furthermore, this Zord has a design similar to a steam train/locomotive.
7. Rail Rescue 2
Rail Rescue 2 is the second Zord controlled by the Blue Ranger and serves to transport Aqua Rescue 2. This Zord is 50.7 meters long and weighs 3,600 tons.
This subway-inspired Zord forms the left arm of the Supertrain Megazord.
8. Rail Rescue 3
The third Rail Rescue Zord is the Green Ranger's secondary Zord, used to transport Airo Rescue 3. This Zord measures 48.2 meters long and weighs 3,400 tons.
Rail Rescue 3's design is inspired by military transport trains and forms the head, upper body, and upper legs of the Supertrain Megazord.
9. Rail Rescue 4
Rail Rescue 4 is the Yellow Ranger's Zord that transports his Haz Rescue 4. This Zord is 51.8 meters long and weighs 2,650 tons.
In the Supertrain Megazord formation, this Zord forms the Megazord's left leg. Rail Rescue 4's design resembles a regular passenger train.
10. Rail Rescue 5
The fifth Rail Rescue is controlled by the Pink Ranger and serves as the train that transports Med Rescue 5. This Zord is 50.5 meters long and weighs 2,650 tons.
Rail Rescue 5 has a design similar to a bullet train. Furthermore, Rail Rescue 5 serves as the right leg of the Supertrain Megazord.
11. Omegazord 1
The Omegazord is the third Zord controlled by Power Ranger Lightspeed Rescue. Unlike Rail Rescue, the Omegazord's design and shape are inspired by a spaceship.
The first Omegazord was controlled by the Red Ranger. Omegazord 1 is equipped with a missile launcher with tremendous destructive power. Omegazord 1 also serves as the head and body of the Omega Megazord.
12. Omegazord 2
Next, there's the blue Omegazord 2, piloted by the Blue Ranger. This Zord is equipped with a machine gun with adhesive bullets.
In the Omega Megazord formation, this Zord serves as the Megazord's two arms.
13. Omegazord 3
The third Omegazord is piloted by the Green Ranger. Omegazord 3's advantage lies in its superior maneuverability compared to the other Omegazords.
When combined with other Omegazords, Omegazord 3 forms the Omega Megazord's abdomen and waist.
14. Omegazord 4
Next, there's Omegazord 4, piloted by the Yellow Ranger. This Zord is arguably the Omegazord with the strongest armor and is equipped with controllable claw weapons.
In the Omega Megazord formation, Omegazord 4 forms the Megazord's left foreleg.
15. Omegazord 5
The final Omegazord is Ranger Pink's Omegazord 5. This Zord is also equipped with a manipulator claw like Omegazord 4. It can also launch a drill-like attack.
Interestingly, the Omegazord has additional special medical capabilities. It is equipped with medical equipment useful for treating damage or injuries during space operations.
When combined with the other Omegazords, Omegazord 5 forms the right foreleg of the Omega Megazord.
16. Max Solarzord
The Max Solarzord is the final Zord to appear in the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue storyline. This Zord was specifically designed as Ranger Titanium's personal Zord. As its name suggests, its primary power source is solar energy, aka the sun.
This Zord is particularly interesting because it has three modes: Train Mode, Shuttle Mode, and Warrior Mode. When in train mode, the Max Solarzord can be considered the sixth Rail Rescue.
Furthermore, this Zord can fight in the air like the Omegazord. When transformed into Warrior Mode, the Max Solarzord functions as Ranger Titanum's personal Megazord. Interestingly, this Zord can be combined with the five main Zords of Power Ranger Lightspeed Rescue.
