My Neighbor Totoro was directed by Hayao Miyazaki and released in 1988. This anime film presents a simple but interesting storyline. The story focuses on two sisters who move to a rural area and experience magical things.

9. Yasuko Kusakabe

Yasuko Kusakabe is the mother of Satsuki and Mei who is suffering from an illness and is being treated at Shichikokuyama Hospital. She looks like mothers in general who have a gentle and caring nature.

Satsuki and Mei as well as their father often visit the hospital to visit their mother. They are very happy when they can be with their mother. They hope that their mother will recover quickly.

Satsuki Kusakabe is the eldest daughter and good sister to Mei. She has a cheerful nature and is very caring towards her younger sister. She often invites Mei to play in her free time.
