Kuzu no Honkai (Scum's Wish) is a romantic anime adapted from the manga by Mengo Yokoyari. This anime is very famous among NTR fans because the story is very sad.
The story focuses on a Hanabi Yasuraoka's relationship with Mugi Hayawa. They both suffered the same fate. They both have a love for someone, but their feelings are unrequited.
In order to fill the emptiness in their hearts, they build a relationship and try to support each other, both physically and emotionally. Even though they don't love each other, they gradually grow closer until they both feel very comfortable.
1. Hanabi Yasuraoka
Hanabi Yasuraoka is a cute girl and likes to be outspoken in speaking. Since the beginning, she has liked Narumi Kanai, who she considers to be her older brother. However, her love was one-sided because Narumi preferred Akane.
Hanabi tries to vent her sadness on other people, such as Mugi or Akane. Even so, she still couldn't fill the void in her heart. She struggled hard to face the harsh reality.
Hanabi initially considered Mugi as an outlet. However, she gradually started to get carried away. They were separated to find their respective true loves, but they eventually came back together in Décor.
2. Mugi Awaya
Mugi Awaya has a relaxed nature and tends to be quiet. He has long harbored feelings for Akane Minagawa, who was once his private teacher. He is so crazy about Akane that he has difficulty opening his heart to anyone else.
Mugi basically knows Akane's rotten nature and behavior, who likes to sleep with many men. However, he still loves her sincerely. He is even determined to change Akane for the better.
Unfortunately, Mugi had to accept the bitter reality after Akane decided to marry Kanai. In the end, the only woman who is able to fill the void in Mugi's heart is Hanabi.
3. Narumi Kanai
Narumi Kanai is an older sister and teacher who teaches in Hanabi's class. He has a very kind nature and easily sympathizes with other people. Apart from that, he doesn't have much experience when it comes to romance.
Since he first met Akane, Narumi immediately fell in love with the woman's beauty. He truly loves Akane even though he knows Akane's bad side. He is the person who can change Akane.
4. Akane Minagawa
Behind her beautiful and gentle face, Akane Minagawa is a very problematic woman. She has a cunning, manipulative nature, and is very obsessed with cornering other people's partners.
Akane feels very satisfied when she is able to conquer the hearts of men and make other women suffer. Apart from that, she also likes changing partners, including former students.
Despite this, Akane basically has an emptiness in her heart. However, she felt something different when she is with Narumi. She became interested in Narumi until she accepted his marriage proposal.
5. Sanae Ebato
Next, there is a cute girl named Sanae Ebato. At first, she seemed to have a close friendship with Hanabi. However, she apparently had feelings for Hanabi since Hanabi saved her from a sexual harasser on the train.
Sanae was often beside Hanabi when Hanabi needed support. Despite this, she realized that she could never have Hanabi. She finally gave up and tried to end their friendship.
6. Noriko Kamomebata
Noriko Kamomebata alias Moka is Mugi's childhood friend who has quite an annoying personality. She has strong feelings for Mugi. She always saw that she and Mugi were similar to a princess and a prince.
Moka also experienced an unfortunate fate because her love never came true. She openly expressed her feelings for Mugi and asked her out on a date. Those memories were enough to make her happy.
7. Atsuya Kirishima
Next, there is Sanae's cousin named Atsuya Kirishima. He has a tall body and messy looking hair. Additionally, he tends to act childish in front of Sanae.
Even though they are both cousins, Atsuya has feelings of love for Sanae. He always questioned Sanae's relationship with Hanabi. He only wants the best for the woman he loves.
