Wacky Races is one of Hanna-Barbera's most iconic cartoon series of all time. The series features exciting racing stories between racers who own unique cars equipped with special features or weapons.

1. Dick Dastardly & Muttley
Dick Dastardly is a very cunning racer full of evil plans. He is always accompanied by a dog named Muttley, who is very loyal to him. The two of them have a solid relationship as partners.
Dick Dastardly & Muttley drive a unique car called the Mean Machine that accelerates like a rocket. They always use dirty tricks to take down other racers, but these plans often backfire and prevent them from winning first place.
2. Penelope Pitsop
Next, there's the beautiful racer named Penelope Pitsop. She has a fashionable nature and always maintains her beautiful appearance. She also enjoys relaxing.
In keeping with her appearance, Penelop owns a cute pink car called The Compact Pussycat. Hilariously, the car is equipped with a beauty salon and a machine for cooking popcorn or roasting chicken.
3. The Slag Brothers
Rock and Gravel Slag are identical cavemen. They both drive a unique car made from boulders. The car is called The Bouldermobile.
The Slag Brothers can use their wooden clubs to increase their speed. When they need extra power, they can uniquely summon a pteranodon they have tamed.
4. Lazy Luke & Blubber Bear
The next racers are a lazy man named Lazy Luke and a bear known as Bubbler. True to his nickname, Lazy Luke always appears half-asleep during races. He always makes Bubbler feel troubled and overworked.
They both drive a car called The Arkansas Chug-a-Bug, made of wood and powered by a coal furnace. One unique aspect of the car is that Luke uses a squirrel as a key component in its engine.
5. Professor Pat
Next, there's a genius racer named Professor Pat. He drives a car called The Convert-a-Car, which is no less unique. Its design looks like a cross between a wagon, an airplane, and a boat.
Similar to Dick Dastardly's car, Professor Pat also equips his car with various highly sophisticated gadgets. However, he tends to use them for defensive purposes, or self-defense.
6. The Gruesome
Big Gruesome is a large ogre, while Li'l Gruesome is a small vampire. The two make a solid combination. Big Gruesome plays the muscle, while Li'l Gruesome plays the brains.
They both drive a car called the Creepy Coupe, which has a vampire or monster theme. Throughout the race, they often utilize supernatural monsters, such as a fire-breathing dragon.
7. Sergeant Blast & Private Meekley
The next racers are two military personnel named Sergeant Blast & Private Meekley. They drive a car called the Army Surplus Special, also known as The Surplus Six. The car is a combination of a Jeep and a battle tank.
The car is equipped with heavy weaponry, such as a cannon that can fire gumballs. Furthermore, the rear of the car is equipped with a bazooka that can be used to increase speed.
8. The Ant Hill Mob
The Ant Hill Mob consists of seven short, dwarf-like characters. They resemble American gang members from the early 1900s. They also share a fairly identical appearance.
The car they drive is the vintage-style Bulletproof Bomb. Like other racers, they equip it with various interesting features, such as a speed booster and a radio tracker to monitor the situation.
9. Peter Perfect
The next racer is a man named Peter Perfect. He is completely infatuated with Penelope. He often stops in the middle of the road just to say hello to her. He also always helps her whenever she has a problem.
Peter drives a race car called The Turbo Terrific. He is very confident in his abilities. Unfortunately, he often experiences bad luck during races, causing his car to break down.
10. Rufus Ruffcut & Sawtooth
Next in line are a muscular carpenter named Rufus and a beaver named Sawtooth. The two of them have a solid working relationship. Furthermore, they appear to be competing with the Slag Brothers.
They drive a unique car called The Buzzwagon. The car's frame is made from pieces of wood. Furthermore, the car's wheels are made from circular saws that can destroy anything in its path.
11. Red Max
Finally, there's a racer named Red Max, who is synonymous with the color red. He looks like a pilot. He also drives a car that resembles an airplane.
Red Max's car is called The Crimson Haybaler. This car can fly or hover for a limited time. Furthermore, it has propellers that can be used to cut through opposing cars.
