Thunder Breathing is one of the main Breathing Styles in Kimetsu no Yaiba. The user are capable of unleashing lightning-like attacks that are incredibly fast and offer high destructive power.
In general, Thunder Breathing has six main forms/techniques used in combat. However, there is one additional technique developed by Zenitsu Akutagama.
For more information, check out the following discussion!
1. Ichi no kata: Hekireki Issen
The first technique of Thunder Breathing is Ichi no kata: Hekireki Issen. When using this technique, the user draws their sword and shoots at breakneck speed towards their enemy.
This technique is so fast that the enemy has no time to react to the attack. Zenitsu first showed Zenitsu in episode 12. Uniquely, he uses this technique while unconscious.
2. Ni no kata: Inadama
Ni no kata: Inadama is the second technique of the Thunder Breathing. It allows the user to unleash five lightning slashes simultaneously. Furthermore, these slashes can produce deadly effects.
The second technique was demonstrated by Zenitsu's former senior, Kaigaku. After transforming into a demon, Kaigaku became an enemy Zenitsu had to defeat. They engaged in a very intense battle.
3. San no kata: Shūbun Seirai
Next, there is a technique that is no less deadly, called San no kata: Shūbun Seirai. The user of this technique can unleash lightning attacks from all directions. Because of this, this technique is very difficult to counter.
Kaigaku demonstrated this technique in chapter 145. In his hands, this technique looks very fierce because he uses black lightning. Despite this, Zenitsu was still able to match Kaigaku's power.
4. Shi no kata: Enrai
The fourth technique of the Thunder Breathing is Shi no kata: Enrai. This technique allows the user to release a lightning ball that can generate a wave of lightning in various directions. Furthermore, the wave can cover a fairly wide area.
As in the previous case, this technique is very difficult for enemies to avoid. In the battle against Kaigaku, Zenitsu managed to evade the lightning ball attack with his speed and power.
5. Go no kata: Netsu Kairai
The fifth Thunder Breathing technique is Go no kata: Netsu Kairai. Like the previous technique, Kaigaku demonstrated this technique during his fierce battle against Zenitsu in chapter 145.
The user of this technique is capable of unleashing a lightning slash that is both powerful and fast. Furthermore, the lightning attack is hot and has the potential to burn the enemy.
6. Roku no kata: Dengō Raigō
Roku no kata: Dengō Raigō is the sixth Thunder Breathing technique. In terms of power, this technique is considered very aggressive and difficult to counter. Furthermore, this technique is very useful in long-range combat.
In chapter 145, Kaigoku demonstrated the power of this technique. From a distance, he was able to unleash a series of lightning attacks on Zenitsu. If the enemy was hit by all of these attacks, their body would suffer severe damage.
7. Shichi no kata: Honoikazuchi no Kami
In addition to the previous six techniques, there is a seventh technique developed by Zenitsu. This technique is called Shichi no kata: Honoikazuchi no Kami. This technique is arguably the strongest technique Zenitsu has mastered.
When using this technique, Zenitsu will slash the enemy at extremely high speed. Furthermore, the attack is enveloped in lightning shaped like a dragon. With this technique, Zenitsu was able to destroy Kaigaku once and for all.
