10. Meinya
Meinya is a cute rabbit-like creature who is Phruska's pet and best friend. It is from the Meinastilim race. Phruska received the animal as a gift from Bondrewd when she was very young.
After Phruska becomes good friends with Riko, Meinya automatically joins Riko and her friends on their adventures. Meinya's cute presence helps lessen the tension of their adventures.
9. Marulk
Marulk is one of the Delvers living at Seeker Camp. He wears an outfit similar to a maid, even though he is actually a boy. Despite his young age, he has become a Blue Whistle Delver.
At Seeker Camp, Marulk's job is to monitor the surrounding situation through a telescope so he can prepare for the worst-case scenario if a threat approaches. He is also considered very talented as a Delver and is able to adapt to difficult situations.
8. Jiruo
The next most interesting character is Jiruo. He possesses high intelligence and extensive knowledge of the ins and outs of the Abyss. He also acts as a mentor to other Delvers.
Jiruo doesn't hesitate to provide tips and tricks to young Delvers so they can face dangerous situations in the Abyss. Because he is always serious about his responsibilities, he often has a cold and unfriendly demeanor.
7. Lyza
Lyza is Riko's mother and a legendary White Whistle Delver. She is known as the Annihilator because she has defeated many of her enemies. Furthermore, she has completed many difficult tasks.
This is not surprising, as Lyza is a Delver with above-average skills. She possesses natural talents as both a fighter and an excavator. One proof of her prowess is her ability to reach the deeper levels of the Abyss.
6. Prushka
Next, there's a cute girl named Prushka, who is intelligent and cheerful. Prushka is Bondrewd's adopted daughter. Born and living in the Abyss since childhood, she has always been curious about the situation above it.
After meeting Riko, Prushka then helps Riko as her adventure companion. One of Prushka's main skills is the ability to unleash the true power of Relics, or ancient devices.
5. Bondrewd
Bondrewd is known as "The Lord of the Dawn." He possesses the skills of a researcher and enjoys conducting dangerous experiments in the Abyss. He is also frequently involved in illegal activities, such as developing dangerous drugs and selling artifacts.
One of the reasons Bondrewd is so feared is his possession of a dangerous artifact called the Soul-Slave Machine. With this artifact, he can control a person's soul and manipulate them like slaves, obeying his commands.
4. Ozen
Ozen is a White Wistle Delver in charge of the Seeker Camp in the second layer of the Abyss. She is extremely strong and experienced, having explored the Abyss for approximately 50 years.
Furthermore, Ozen has strengthened her body with various relics, making her considered superhuman. In the past, she was Lyza's mentor. Therefore, she is very concerned about Riko's safety.
3. Nanachi
Nanachi is one of the characters with a tragic fate in Made in Abyss. She was kidnapped by Bondrewd and subjected to inhumane experiments. These experiments resulted in the loss of some of her humanity.
After experiencing hardships there, Nanachi fortunately managed to escape from the cursed laboratory. She then met Riko and Reg, and they became companions on their adventures.
2. Riko
Riko is an energetic girl with a strong sense of determination as an explorer. She aspires to become a great White Whistle Delver like her mother. She may not be very strong, but she is very intelligent.
Riko possesses extensive knowledge of the Abyss, from plants and monsters to artifacts found there. She can even use ancient artifacts to survive attacks by ferocious monsters.

First on the list is a unique android named Reg, who becomes Riko's adventure companion. He is said to have lost his memory and believes he is from the Abyss. Because of this, he helps Riko explore the Abyss.
Riko calls the robot "Reg" because his real name is unknown. One of Reg's interesting things is his highly durable body and immunity to various curses in the Abyss.
