Gold Owl is a very interesting guild in Fairy Tail: 100 Years of Quest. Unlike most guilds, its members are alchemists who are highly skilled in using alchemy.
Alchemy works differently than magic. Alchemy works by transmuting matter and changing it into a specific form. This transmutation applies not only to solid objects but also to non-solid objects such as smoke.

1. Duke Barbaroa
Gold Owl is led by a Guild Master named Duke Barbaroa, an old man with eyepatch. He is also very ambitious and obsessed with conquering the Dragon Gods.
The Duke was once a student of Elefseria. He is naturally capable of using magic, but he has little interest in pursuing it. He pursued alchemy and became the master of the Gold Owls.
In terms of abilities, Duke mastered Bodily Alchemy, which allows him to create living dolls from alchemy. Some of his best creations include Athena, Gennai, and Kotetsu.
2. Ennie Signario
The next member of Gold Owl is Ennie Signario. She looks beautiful and charming, but she has a cold demeanor and a temperamental side. She becomes enraged if someone fails an important mission.
Ennie possesses two interesting abilities: Purgatory and Armor Alchemy. The former allows her to transmute an area into a hellish world, while the latter allows her to create armor and combat weapons.
3. Luso Signario
Next, there's Ennie's sister, Luso Signario. They both have completely opposite personalities. Luso is friendly and tolerant of others' mistakes.
Luso also possesses an interesting alchemical ability called Dream Death World. She can transmute an area into a world resembling a theme park. Although it may seem pleasant, the garden can lead Luso's enemies to their deaths.
4. Athena
Athena is an alchemy doll created specifically by the Duke to subdue the Dragon God. She has a polite personality and always prioritizes logic over emotion. Furthermore, she has a machine-like body.
Athena is capable of using Dragon Slayer magic and the ability of Emotion Alchemy. She can harness the emotions of others and transmute them into certain effects. For example, she can use sadness to involuntarily cause her targets to cry.
Athena's powers are not limited to that. Athena possesses a highly sophisticated machine body, enabling her to unleash deadly attacks, such as firing bullets and laser beams. She also possesses unlimited stamina.
5. Athena II
The Duke created Athena II as a replacement for the previous Athena, who failed to live up to his expectations. Athena II is completely emotionless and obeys only the Duke's commands.
Like the original Athena, Athena II possesses Dragon Slayer magic. Interestingly, she is able to use the elements of wind and shadow after taking on the powers of Wendy Marvel and Rogue Cheney.
6. Gennai
Gennai is an alchemy doll created by the Duke and is seen wearing traditional Japanese clothing. One of his trademarks is that he is always seen carrying a large pipe. This is his primary weapon in battle.
Gennai has mastered Smoke Alchemy, which allows him to transmute smoke. He can create a very thick smokescreen. It's so thick that even the wind can't blow it away.
7. Kotetsu
Next, there's the Duke's alchemy doll named Kotetsu. He has a ninja-like appearance. In keeping with this, he carries a large sword as his primary weapon.
Kotetsu is able to transmute iron through his Iron Alchemy ability. He can turn anything he touches into iron. He can also transform his sword into a massive scythe.
8. Sai
Sai is an alchemist with a tattooed face. He enjoys hunting for valuable items in labyrinths. He also possesses the unique and complex ability of Bond Alchemy.
This ability allows Sai to transmute others through their bonds. As example, He can transmute someone’s “bond” to turn them into the person they love, effectively swapping bodies with each other, no matter the distance between the lovers.
9. God Serena
God Serena was considered the strongest mage in Ishgar and once joined the Spriggan 12. He was killed in the battle against Acnologia. However, he was later resurrected through an alchemical process performed by Duke.
God Serena became a valuable asset to Duke because he was a powerful Dragon Slayer. As you know, God Serena mastered eight Dragon Slayer spells simultaneously, each with its own element.
